Strength:

the last reveiwer pretty much summed it up. hurcan cupacity. many colors to choose from. bullet proof. it's basicly the best.

Weakness:

loading isn't as care free as with an ortlieb. and it's hotter too. but thats it.

you are crazy if you even try to defend your side bag. forget about those things. stand up straight and get a backbone!

these bags feel just plain luxerious.

Strength:

Bombproof construction, completely waterproof, stable, amply padded back, MASSIVE capacity, understated look, 2 shoulder straps (i.e. my back is straighter!)

Weakness:

This model doesn't have the sexy Ferrari seatbelt buckle like the other bags, but that sucker's kinda heavy anyhow.
Unfortunately, these bags have been elevated to hipster status--first Carharts, then this. When you see overweight university students carrying them with a nalgene bottle clipped to the outside, a part of you sort of dies.

This bag is incredible--I live out of it. From my hilly-@ss commute with a heavy laptop, to grocery runs, to airline carry-on, this guy has served me well. It carries great, doesn't require overly careful loading (as the one-shoulder bags do), keeps everything dry, and has a one-hitter pocket on the seam. Buy one and beat it. It's not the cheapest rig going, but it will outlast 2 or 3 timbuk 2s (even with the ballistic nylon) and give you hassle-free service.
