-High maintinance, needs regreasing often to keep bushings snug, and to keep the performance worth riding.
-Brake arch bolts need better thread lock.
-Dropouts are not beef on DC's.
-stanchion wall thickness to thin to shave weight for DC's.
-linear spring.
-no seperate compresion/rebound damping adjustment.
-fork oil is difficult to change/tune for rider weight.

Also you can stack SC 70 springs and cut the plastic spacer to add travel and make a progressive spring, but the damping cartridge will blow. The dropouts bent, but I cannibalized my SC 70 lower legs. The brake arch bent. The stanchions bent. The bushings wore out so it felt like and old Rock Shox Judy even after greasing. These have a short half life but are great equipment for your race bike. They are not good for hammering out epic rides on a few times a week. | Overall Rating: |

When I first got these forks I was far from impressed, but after some messing around with the springs and the cartridge I was pretty darned stoked. That was until winter... The seals are crap and let in copious (oh get me) amounts of water and grit, they even seized at one point! Not good. After a long time searching I managed to track down a fork boot for them, after that their performance has become consistantly good like you would expect from a WB fork.
That was up until this weekend. Unfortunately the bushings went to hell and back while practicing the 1st round of our National DH series. My reasonably quiet bike turned into a sloppy steering, fork clanging mess! I was far from happy. However the forks have remained extremely plush.
Oh by the way, the fork boots are the Lizard Skin Inversion Boots. They're green (well mine are and they where the only colour I could find) and one piece, so there is no crappy velcro to come apart while riding. They cost me $28 NZ. Roughly $14-15 US and are well worth it.
Overall, an average fork that gets better with fork boots.

Lets just say three words: PLUSH! Strong , fresh-design, huge stanchions, cute anodized black legs, and did i mention it is PLUSH! It looks real sick on my LTS DH, and all the girls just love it to pieces. It is so stiff latterally that is cause it is PLUSH! The tracking is most excelent bro. Had the fork on my LTS and loved it for awhile. Then the wipers started to wear out. No big deal, but i don't think that there is a plausible explanation for not running fork boots. Then i bent the fork legs. White brothers wouldn't warranty and I am pissed. It's a dh specific fork and should be able to take some serious abuse. Don't buy for 2 reasons. Poor warranty support and poor quality. To peppas for good initial quality

As an employee of the most reputable shop here in Salt Lake, I get to deal with lots of cool forks. After much consideration and product testing (RS Judy XL, Manitou X-Vert R & Ti, Marzocchi Bomber, and more) I chose to race DH this past summer on a DC-110, modified to get the travel of a 118. I have not regretted my choice. Action is plush, tuneability is excellent, stiffness is supreme and support from WB has been prime. If I could recommend a fork for any adult Sport racers or Junior Experts (such as myself), this fork is the kind. | | Overall Rating: |

The DC110's are one of the best 4 inch fork there are I run them on my
Norco VPS1 that has 6 1/2 inches rear and they wicked
If any one wants to Buy them I selling them For $600 Australian
The only reason is I want to run A Magura disc brake and the DC110 only
take Hayes and Formula If any one from America wants to buy them it is
about $360 U.S. depending on the Australian dollar If any one in Australia

Me and a friend hit the same water bar at Vail. He was actually going slower beacause he had time to break when he saw me wreck. I'm 6'0, 165lbs, he is 5'6, 130lbs. I was riding a boxer, he a White Bros DC110. The boxer had no problem, but my friend snaped the DC100 in half at the lower crown. Both stanchions failed. White Bro's policy is to never warranty shocks. I've know people to wreck worse on thier manitou's and answer kissed thier ass. So, I HIGHLY DO NOT RECCOMEND THIS PRODUCT. I have this on my 97 FSR comp. After coming off of a cross country fork, the downhill performance is unbelievable - my speeds have increased by 30% on moderately pot-holled fire roads and by 300% on steep, rutted out, nasty descents. Plus it is so plush I can enjoy myself on this stuff instead of just hanging on for dear life. I'm sure I can push it even harder as I get more comfortable - this fork may not be good for my health but it sure is fun. Downsides are increased endo probability due to front end drops - especially on singletrack where you are not way back on the bike. Also, high maintenance - but I don't mind taking care of my stuff. | | Overall Rating: |

I reviewed many forks before making my decision on the WB.dc110.
Things to consider:
I weigh 235, and am XTREMELY rough on equipment. Love jumping etc..
I race a HIGHLY MODIFIED cannondale super V, that has been through the paces.
the only surviving stock components are the frame and swingarm.
I started with a stock headshock that I bent forward 2 inches on a landing.
OUT WITH THE HEADSHOCK....
then I installed a Manitou TIE fork. Cracked the body after 2 weeks.
OUT WITH THE MANITOU....
Then I installed a Cannondale moto 120 DH Fork.
BLEW out the cartrige on a downhill descent in Quebec. Ate it Bigtime.
OUT WITH THE MOTO 120....
Finally installed White brothers fork, WOW... what an animal.
Have about 1200 trail miles on it, and it has yet to hiccupp..
the springs were replaced with the Aftermarket Black/grey super stiff units
and that's it. The tracking is so precise, that I think I am running a headshock again. The dampening is perfect, but the rebound needs work.
Weight, not a concern. Much lighter than moto, and works much better too.
highly recommend this fork. Probably the most responsive front suspension i have ever ridden.
I have a team cannondale Downhill bike, and I will probably put a 98 unit on it.
Anyone want to buy a moto 120??

u just got the '97 version of this fork while it was on sale at Universal Cycles for $500 as opposed to 7 or 8. It works great on my Joshua Y, but the only problem is that i can't seem to get the proload caps off to change the springs! This done, i think it would be an extremely plush and stiff fork. I've only had it for a week, but i already notice the difference coming from a 3 Judy XC. I've called White Bros. twice, and all they tell me is to just pop the caps off with your fingers. Yeah right! I tried a wrench on the things and they still didn't work! If anyone can help me that would be great. otherwise this is a great fork, except is weighs about 5 (the guy said 4.2), and it is a little pricey at $800. I really don't think the '98's will be good though. All it has is 8mm more travel, silver coated stanction tubes, and an external damping adjuster. I got this as sort of a hi quality freeride fork, but my bet for '98 would be the '98 Bomber Z1. | | Overall Rating: |

After a lot of research, I purchased a DC 110 for
my INTENSE Uzzi SL. I had many concerns before the
purchase like: 1) Stress on the head tube
2) Too much travel for XC
3) Weight of forkWhat the concensous was on the above:1) Stress on head tube -
5 different Mechanical Engineers tell me that YES there
will be added stress to the head tube, but
due to my weight (150) and the type of riding
I do (XC), the stress amount won't be that much
and there might be even less stress due to the
fact that the load gets distributed across 3
points now (head tube, top crown, and bottom crown),
rather than just the head tube alone. 2) Too much travel - I don't think so - Since my rear
has 4.5, it seems to be a good match. I now just
have to play with the adjusments to get the feel I
like.3) Too much weight - Don't notice the issue that much
when riding. Even with the fork, the total weight
is 26 Lbs. I think that's pretty good for a full
suspension bike.4) General comments - At first my bike looked like a
chopper with the fork on. It raised my front end
a whopping 3. I extended the stanchion tubes through
the top crown to bring it back down to achieve my
original head tube angle. It use to pull up on me
on steep climbs because of the steep head tube angle.The action of the fork is awesome. It's
smooth as silk on descents, the steering is much
more responsive (it goes where I point it), and
overall I'm very happy with it. Now it's just a
matter of dialing it in (and I'm still going to

I have one of the first of these forks off the line, and I've been very happy with it. It has about 80 mm. of real travel, but if you take out the springs and bottom out the fork, you'll get the said 110 mm. The fork comes with two sets of springs, standard and heavy. I started with the standard springs but found them too soft for my 200 lbs, so I swapped them out for the heavy springs.
The travel on the fork is very plush, and the fork itself is extremely stiff, and reasonably light. The color may be a bit boring for many people (black and gray), but I like it. It's a nice change from all the Rock Shox forks which look like lollipops.
Here in Japan, the White Brothers forks are HOT this year. In the double crown fork arena, other manufacturers are going to have a difficult time beating them. Rock Shox' Judy DHO is too expensive, and is worth it besides. If you're thinking about the White Bros. fork, go for it. It's well engineered, and works very well. | | Overall Rating: |
