    Duration Product Used:
    tested or demo'ed only
    Strengths:
It was free at the time I tried it.
    Weaknesses:
Though free, not worth trying again.
    Similar Products Used:
Powerbar, Tiger's Milk, Steel Bar, etc.
Bottom Line:I tried this bar with it first came out in my area and was disappointed. I wasn't as bad at the Steel Bar Pro, but still left a lot to be desired.

    Bottom Line:

I have to agree with most of the people reviewing the vo2 max bar. It is a great tasting bar. The problem is that I have trouble finding it here in san jose calif. If you can find out where in san jose I could find some I would apprecitate it greatly. Walmart use to carry it but discontinued. And some of the local bike shops that I shop at don't carry it or don't carry it at all.

    Bottom Line:

Don't know a damn thing about the product advertisement that no one likes but I do know that these are the best tasting bar on the market....I LOVE EM...none of that nasty psuedo-chocolate stuff...just wholesome, chewy, substancial, good taste. I feel like I have had a whole meal when I eat em. The berry and choc are my favorite!! Fantastic for that 3:p.m. energy nose dive, after biking, hiking you name it and I say give 'em all those chilis

    Bottom Line:

I love these bars! I eat them for breakfast, lunch & dinner! I especially like the chocolate bars, when I'm out on my Obed cruising the trails they really hit the spot. A careful look at the package reveals that that orange middle contains alot of vitamins and minerals as well as phytonutrients! Being a 60 year old hammer head I need all the help I can get. 5 chilis please!

    Bottom Line:

I agree that the advertising used to promote these bars leaves alot to be desired but I find the product to be quite acceptable. The orange core while different is not unappealing, and after reviewing the package, came to find it contained major quantities of phytonutrients which are health beneficial. I think that the chocolate bars flat rage! Since I'm rating the product and not the advertising I give it 5 chilis!

    Bottom Line:

Ok, ok, we all know that pretty much all energy bars, gels, powders, are largely gimmicks. Once all the ponderous hype is put aside, they are good for a bit of energy in a compact, long-lived package but really, almost any combo or source of sucrose or frucose will help. These, unlike PowerBar & Cytomax in the 'ol water bottle, taste good--not as good as a Cliff Bar, but they're bigger and it seems to trick my mind into thinking I'm eating more. Given that all things in this category in MHO are nearly equal, good taste wins.

    Bottom Line:

I also got a sample of the chocolate bar free at a race. I thought that it had a great flavor. It is more sweet tasting than a power bar but it also tastes more like a candy bar and less like an energy bar. You can't go wrong with that. The orange middle does seem to have a strange, gummy texture to it though but I can live with that. As for the energy, I felt as good after taking this bar as I do with any energy bar. It helped to keep me going and that is what it says it does.

    Bottom Line:

I had the opportunity to sample these for free at the 97 24 Hours of Canaan. Let me tell you, these things are terrible. Very Chemical taste and very acidic like. The anit-oxidant core is a major gimic. And I recently saw the commercial on TV for these things....Get Serious....these things are a joke. Save your money and stick with something that works like Power Gel or Gu.
