Description: This summer Lance Armstrong won his fifth consecutive Tour and joined an elite group of riders who have won the Tour five times. Frenchman Bernard Hinault ushered Armstrong into cycling's "famous five" fraternity with the words "Welcome to the club". Armstrong joined Hinault, Jacques Anquetil, Eddy Merckx and Miguel Indurain as five-time Tour winners after completing the hardest Tour of his career. Only Indurain and Armstrong have won five successive Tours. Lance Armstrong wrote an unrepeatable chapter of cycling history and has never seemed so vulnerable as in the centenary year of the Tour de France. Never has he been so open to challenges. And never, ultimately, has his victory been so convincing. This was one of the greatest Tours of all time and saw Jan Ullrich's return to greatness, the surprise ride and numerous attacks of Alexandre Vinokurov, and the "don't take off the bike" attitude of Tyler Hamilton, who continued to ride with a broken collarbone - sustained in a crash on stage two.

Price reduction Well edited
Weaknesses:
Only VHS discounted; wanted DVD Too short to cover anything but highlights
Bottom Line:
Four hours of road biking? Well, amazingly enough, four hours zips right by - this stuff is pretty entertaining to watch. And a cyclist in any discipline can see and appreciate the effort these guys are putting out.
Four hours is too short to cover an event like the TDF. If I cough up the dough for another one, I'll definitely get the 12 hour version.
