Strengths:
Reliable, looks OK (but I do not have stars and stripes graphics), Does not drop contact in wet conditions. This is a plus in central Europe.
Weaknesses:
the buttons are a little difficult to press for certain funtions, but you will survive. Maybe you go to the hardware store and get heavier duty platic straps and you're ready for anything.

Bottom Line:
I needed a comp quick and just bought this one on the way home passing a bike shop. Then I went on MTBR.com to see the ratings and said, "Oh SXXT, it don't stack up to well." But, I have to say I would buy another one if I did not have to pay the rip-off price I paid due to urgent need. Sure, it's a bit of a pain with re-set double pressing of small knobs, but it works and I never had a cyclocomputer that ran from April to October without a hitch AND the sensors never lost contact. Oh Yeah, the battery is still going strong after about 1,000 Miles of Forest Biking.

Strengths:
Easy to mount. good profile and has mounts for a riser bar. So far after 3 months of biking it is accurate. Funny to say this, but it has a lot of smooth rounded edges so it feels good to press around real hard when you're stressed on the bike and want info. It doesn't cut off the blood on your fingertips. I like it short term, let's see over the longer haul.
Weaknesses:
I see this thing gets hammered a lot for difficulty in the pressing of buttons but I don't have that much of a problem although I agree this part of the functionality is not great but OK. Display is little harder to read compared to Sigma 1600 but it works.

Bottom Line:
It is really too early to rave about anything but so far so good. I needed a computer fast after my sigma snapped, and went to the nearest shop and pick this one up. THEN I read some of these reviews on this site and said OH SXXt!! But, I feeling pretty good so far. Just make sure you crank down on the slip ties and I think it will hold up, let's see. I'll be back to hammer this comp in a few months if it goes south.

Strengths:
All the features the casual cyclist will need
Weaknesses:
The cheap 'n' nasty way it fixes to the bike (cable ties!)
Similar Products Used:
avocet, cateye
Bike Setup:
Giant xt450
Bottom Line:
The later models have more features but earlier vetta models had a better made feel, not to mention easier to read digits. The strange shaped buttons are a tad fiddly (a case of style over functionality) and it is impossible to tighten the cable tie fixings enough, consequently the whole thing swivels on the handlebar every time a button is pressed.

Weaknesses:
Slips off mount when trying to use buttons. Side release tabs are cumbersome.

Bottom Line:
OK deal for the information provided versus the price, although i'd think again before buying another product from vetta at this price. Currently shopping for a computer for my mtn bike, but i don't think this will do. Slipping out of the mount when you want to see different info is too much of an annoyance to warrant another purchase of this model.

Looks pro.
Weaknesses:
If it performed as well as it looks, this would be a very good piece of equipment. Set up and installation is easy and straightforward, but right out of the box the screens are difficult to change due to the inferior design of the buttons. I have to press like a you know what to maybe get to the next screen and thats not what I want to be doing when I'm trying to concentrate on staying in the hunt. Maybe I just got a lemon, but I'm definetly looking for another computer and I'm not looking at Vetta.

Bottom Line:
Good value, all necessary functions (when you can get to them)and pro look make this an attractive unit. I can't recommend it in it's present configuration because of the difficult to press buttons.

It's a great little product! It doesn't have a Cadence sensor - but if your not training or racing who needs it. I think it great value for money. Also comes in a range of colours to suit your rig. Dig the US Postal!
