I run these on both my bikes because they are very solid and well built, they have a well balanced feel to them and are pretty light too. I've run these bars for two years with no problems, they are a very reliable product.

oh ya and by the way to everyone complaining about the flames being covered by grips and levers.. i have my levers set up for one finger use and WITHOUT CUTTING THE BARS the levers are right at the begining of the flames so the flames go from the lever to the grips..its really cool...maybe they were designed to be used like this theese bars get 10 flamin chilis

Bottom Line:
These are good bars. I wanted a fat 31.8 bar that wasn't unreasonably heavy. They have a nice rise compared to others. Comfortable, strong. I think Race Face makes a good product and have had no problems. For a light cross country setup, I would get something else (lighter), but for all mtn, freeride or downhill, they work great.

Super stiffness, absolutely no flex when landing huge drops. I wonder if Josh Bender uses these?

I've had no complaints about these bars for the time I've had them. The geometry and degrees of these bars are perfect for aggressive riding. They survived getting run over by my ZR2 s10, I backed up in my buddys driveway, bike happened to be there :(..back wheel rode up onto the rim, spokes, rotor, stanchions, finally catching one end of the bars on the bumper while the other end. dug a chunk out of the concrete all while both of my rear tires were up off the ground, Did manage to bend right stanchion a little. this comes to show you how strong these things are, they supported about 2,000 pounds. try this with any other bar on the market! I will probably never buy any other type of bar out there.

Hey RL, It was a typo, I meant the Diabolus products are all worth every penny. And just for the record, I didn't buy this product for bling factor or name. I bought it because it is a Q-U-A-L-I-T-Y product. And please dont even talk to me about customer service if you are going to include shimano in the same sentence.
ps. usually from experience those who call people posers are posers themselves. If you just wrote something to annoy others...then save your time in futur. None of us are interested in sarcasim from people like you.

To Terry below: Why buy anything Race Face? Because they have a cool logo? Because Race Face sponsers high profile athletes? It's absurd.
While they have some nice stuff, they have products with known reliability and defect issues. Like their crappy Prodigy cranks which stripped like they were made of Jello -- see MTBR reviews.
And their customer service is an abomination. Have you ever tried contacting them? You're lucky if you get a response.
No, no. Race Face is not da bomb. It's poseur gear for people who want to buy and image or a label, and they don't give a damn about their customers.
Truvativ, and Shimano make products that hold up as good or better than R.F. and their replacement and tech support is heads and shoulders above Race Face.

A little over a year ago I built up a Rocky Mountain RM9 with all Race Face and Shimano components. All the top of the line stuff. From saint to Diabolus, the bike was loaded. When I got the bars, I was stoked because they were rather light for Dh components, and looked super sweet. But when I mounted them on the front of the bike and put them to the test, I noticed that the bars flexed quite a bit more than expected. They never broke, cracked or gave me any real trouble, but the flex really chapped my crack. So this year when I built up my Big Hit DH, I went for something new instead of old reliable Race Face. I got all Truvativ compnents and have never looked back. I ride with the Hussefelt bars and stem and they are far and above better than the Diabolus. Hussefelt isn't even the top of the line. I can only imagine how sweet the Holzfeller bars are. Anyway, there is no flex whatsoever in the Hsselfelt bars. They are cheaper and seem to be just as strong without any kind of flex. I am not sure if my bars were just a poorly made set or if that is the way they all are, but I am never going back to any of the Diabolus seies. Bottmom Line: GO BIG-GO TRUVATIV.

Strong, Gorilla Strong! No bending in the two bad crashes they have seen! No flex what so ever not even bad trail vibration! Control is great and even the widith is awesome! 31.8 is the way to go for a good DH / FR bar! Graphics are awesome I love those flames and they look so great with my Raceface Diabolus stem!

NONE!! Just bolt em on and go! The width takes some getting use to but stick with it and you'll love em!!

Great bar for freeridng a downhilling! No flex or bending from these bars! I can't say enough about them! If you can get use to the longer length of these bars the control they provide is awesome. If you ride allot of tight single track though ypu may have to cut them though. This bar has seen a bunch of bad crashes and so far they are rock solid! They look so sweet with the flames and the graphics on em and they look really hot with the matching stem!! If your looking for a bar for some serious gravity riding that is gonna stand up to a beating! Get these and your troubles are gone, you'll never need another set of handlebars again!! If your an XC Trailrider look somewhere else these suckers are heavy and not for that type of riding, get if abuse is your fun, PEACE!!
