The Shimano Deore LX components are very durable and work perfectly in any condition. This bike has been through hell and back and still keeps going. | | Weaknesses: | No suspension. Rigid forks are very hard on the body. But a simple upgrade should take care of that. | | Similar Products Used: | Haro Extreme, Trek Y, and ProFlex. | | Bike Setup: | Alpinstars 7000 frame, rigid fork, Shimano Deore LX everything except XTR V-brakes and BB. Mavic rims and smoke/dart 2.10 tires. | | Bottom Line: | This is great bike! I've put it through hell and it still has some life left. I'd like to buy the newest model with full suspension. But I think they (Alpinestars) stopped making mountian bikes. But I will not give up looking. They could only improve on the model I have now.
