Bottom Line:
I've used this bike for Xterra and 12 hour races and can't say enough good things about it. It's handling is very precise and it tracks well on single track. I've read the frame weakness concerns but don't share them. I'm at the 165 "limit" on a good day and have never had any problems. That said, I wouldn't use it for everyday stuff just our of fear of putting it out of commission before a race when I really need it.

Bottom Line:
Awesome bike. No bobbing with suspension and lightweight. Super responsive around switchbacks and aggresive geometry. Fully built weighs just as much as some of the lightest carbon hardtails out there. Only thing is the sticker on the downtube.

Strengths:
Light. Climbs efficiently. Great on a racecourse.
Weaknesses:
You have to compromise somewhere when you choose a 4.5 lb full suspension frame. The frame flexes a bit laterally, and sometimes struggles to hold a line. However, on a racecourse, this is a small price to pay for the sheer speed and agility (light weight) of the frame.
This is my first choice for XC racing, but I have three bikes to choose from (Nomad, Trek 9.9, Nitrous). This bike is fast, mainly because it is light and forgiving on climbs where XC races are won. This is not a recreational bike; it is a tool for racing. Dedicated racers will be pleased. Weekend warriors should look at other products in the Turner lineup and pay the small weight penalty for better handling.

It's been a year. I love this frame so far. It's not weak or noodley at all. Yes, there's weight limit(I guess it was 165lb). But I'm 165lb and I haven't got a single problem yet. It's very light. It climbs really fast. Only downside is downhill. You better be cautious if you want to go down fast. Of course, 100mm fork will be helpful. But, some says it will ruin geometry of this frame. I'm not sure about that. Anyway, I'm using this frame for XC not DH.

Bottom Line:
Frame is what turner states. Lightweight, I am 130lbs and managed to bend to upper chain stay on the maiden voyage. I have never broke or bent anything previously. It bent in a crash. The bike basically fell on a rock when I went over the bars. However the handling is really good and it climbs well. I would not buy this frame again, except for race only.

this bike will be hard to replace. I have raced a lite weight hard tail and the santa cruz blur. This ride has them both. I ride for pleasure and enjoy a weekly race The nitrous does it all.

the anodising is very weak. brake and shifter cables will wear straight through the anodising unless protected.

Best race bike i have ever ridden. no bob what so ever (i am 130 pounds though). seems as if the frame can handle more weight than claimed and looks beafier than in pictures. the grease ports are very handy. i would recommend this frame to any racer looking for a light bike but is sceptical of the efficiency of a dualie. i have built my bike up to under 10 kilos (22 pounds) so it is as light as any hardtail but eliminates all fatigue. i was a little worried at first about the stregnth of the frame but now i would not hesitate to race it in 24 hour events

Bottom Line:
The Turner Nitrous rides beautifully and tracks ever so sweetly on all kinds of conditions. A very high quality racing machine, it is light, ridged, smooth, responsive, and handles sensationally. I came off a high quality hardtailone of the last of these holdouts and I am not in the least disappointed. I weight slightly under 140 lbs and my sense of the machine is it can take more weight than advertised, however, the Turner Flex looks equally sweet and I wouldn't hesitate an instant if I was a larger/heavier individual, and my intention was all- mountain riding. This is not an all mountain machine!
As for the Nitrous, if you like to go fast, intend to race, and are relatively small framed, the chasing you will be doing is of your own shadow. These frames are difficult to acquire but should be on your short list if you've the ducats to shell out. The Turner is not inexpensive and my friends and I laugh about the cost of entry. That being said, the darn thing is worth every penny.
I put on 150 miles and so far the machine is true to form- A very sweet ride.
