$2000.00 | | Purchased At: | ebay | | Strengths: | this review is for a 04 dhr full bike. very light(39) for a serious dh bike, stupidly plush (what do you expect?) awsome design. | | Weaknesses: | cant pedal for crap or jump much. didnt go that fast compared to cheaper bikes. | | Similar Products Used: | alot | | Bike Setup: | 04 frame, hadley hubs, evil chainguide, mags, mavic 729 rims, super t..... | | Bottom Line: | i have tried alot of bikes and i personaly woudnt care to own a dhr. good thing is i bought it cheap. the frame is too plush for my likings and i cant pedal up any hills if i tried. but its all worth it on the downhill. i transitioned from a 03 bighit comp and didnt see much of an improvement in speed but alot more in the cornerings. it hugs the corners like no other. i love the super t a ton. dont buy this bike if you like to jump. you wont go anywere except to the hospital. youl end up bailing out craking a couple of bones. i wouldnt even think about tring to jump a gap over 5 foot. now id drop it alot higher more than the bighit. i woundnt see a big deal in jumping something over 15foot. heck, i wouldnt but then again there arent many drops around san juan. 6 foot to flat was really fun. cant wait to drop our new 8 foot latter on it. my last words are that it boosted my confidenss alot!! its made me a totaly better rider. id check around before spending a couple of months work for it. unless you buy on ebay. go ebay!!! and also, my dhr is for sale. 1800. heck you save 200 bucks in two months.just email me. now at this price its worth trying it because you wont loose anything. if you dont like it resale it for the same price. you win either way. cheers. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

Then I rode a friends Turner DHR for a day realized what a great bike should feel like. Some of the best features of the Turner DHR are: great handling, very balanced feel, durable, medium weight for a DH, Low maintenance on joints and all around predictable riding responses. Since I purchased my first Turner DHR a year ago I have purchased 2 more frames. A newer DHR with more rear travel and a RFX to replace my free ride bike. | | Weaknesses: | The product has no real weekness only the inital cost is a little high, but well worth it. | | Similar Products Used: | M1, KHS FXT, GT, Canondale, Mongoose, Giant and ect | | Bike Setup: | easy setup...there is no surprises. The frames have great mounts for brake lines and all other accessories like chain guiudes | | Bottom Line: | If you are going to ride DH get a good bike. There are too many risks in DH riding dont risk riding a bike that is not as capable as a Turner. Spend a little more money and then you will never need another bike.. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

I think the new main pivot design and thru axle rear has contributed to this. The result is a bike that corners very well. It stays true to where you point it. The low center of gravity makes it agile enough to quickly lean the bike from one turn to the next. It also seems very confortable when sliding both tires feet up. The rear travel seems limitless as it sucks up a wide variety of terrian. The Romic shock allows the 8.5 inches of travel to be pedaled like a 5 or 6 inch bike. The DHR is very comfortable in the air, its a good jumper. It also handles well in high speed conditions as well as steep chutes. | | Weaknesses: | Bottom bracket height is great for cornering but pedals will hit rocks when the suspension is compressed. Something to be aware of. | | Bike Setup: | Marzocchi SuperT, Truvativ cranks, BB, bars, Sun SUV wheelset, Maxxis Slow Reezay, Hayes, XT shifter and derailleur | | Bottom Line: | This bike inspires confidence. It handles great in every type of terrian I've ridden it in. I would recommend the DHR to anyone who wants to safely go faster. | | Value Rating:Overall Rating: |
