The howitzer bottom bracket is much better than the shimano xt square taper. This crank can take abuse. It has taken a couple of heavy hits and has come out fine. | | Weaknesses: | Bash gard has fractured and needed replacing. Replaced it with an E-Thirteen gaurd that not as hard and fragile. | | Similar Products Used: | Shimano cranks stes | | Bike Setup: | Giant Trance | | Bottom Line: | It is a good product for what you pay, but isn't the best in the world.
