    Favorite Trail:mission
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
    Purchased At:san diego, trek
Strengths:super light just about 22 lbs with everything on.
Weaknesses:It does not come with disk brakes. Only 80mm of travel front fork.
Similar Products Used:specialized stumpjumper and epic
    Bike Setup:stock
Bottom Line:Very fast. Efficient climbing and descending. A lot more comfort than my 03 epic. If speed what you're looking for, this bike is the one.

    Date Reviewed: February 20, 2007
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
    Strengths:superlight, fast, accelerates quickly
Weaknesses:not sure yet if this is a weakness, but it comes stock with a dura ace 9 spd cassette. It hasn't really slowed me down while climbing.
Similar Products Used:trek fuel ex 9.5
Bike Setup:virtually stock, cut 1" off both ends of handlebars, gripshift instead of x0 trigger shifters.
Bottom Line:this bike is incredibly light (21.7 lbs @ 19.5"), and accelerates ridiculously fast. The avid SD SL are plenty powerful enough and practically worry free. I can't imagine a better bike out there. If you race definitely don't buy this bike. I need all the help I can get. It's more expensive then it's contemporaries offered by Specialized and Cannondale, but then why shouldn't it be? There's absolutely nothing that needs to be upgraded on the bike.
