    Date Reviewed: September 2, 2008
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
    Price Paid: $2900.00
    Purchased At:North Bend
    Strengths:Suspension. Shifters.
Weaknesses:Stock tires were a strange choice for a bike like this. Switched them out in the store for a more aggressive tread.
    Similar Products Used:Trek Fuel 90 (2003).
Bike Setup:Stock. New tires and Time ATAC pedals.
Bottom Line:Suspension is great. Really asorbs impact, yet very little pedal bob. Love the pro-pedal, and ability to adjust travel on the front-forks.

Weight seems reasonable for a bike with this much travel.

    Overall, it's great.

    Favorite Trail:Zuba /Jerusalem
    Duration Product Used:3 months
    Price Paid: $5000.00
    Purchased At:Latroon Bikes
    Strengths:SEE BL
    Weaknesses:non
    Similar Products Used:Cannodale rush 3000
    Bike Setup:Original
Bottom Line:With the upgrades i have made this really is a super slick, lightish, very fast AM bike. Handles great on all surfaces and makes up hill riding seem so easy you;ll wonder why you struggled before. I looked at similar bikes to this with better components but i felt the look of the 9.0 CARBON an easy choice to pick this one a.Would suit riders of all ages and experience wanting something light and fast but also SEXY LOOK.
Overall excellent value for money . I don't think i'll be buying another mtb for years to come. Love this

    Favorite Trail:pisgah
    Duration Product Used:6 months
    Price Paid: $3900.00
    Strengths:travel, geometry
    Weaknesses:seatpost clamp
Similar Products Used:fuel 100, stumpjumper, enduro, 575, cake, dawg, flux, bunch of hardtails
Bottom Line:The best thing about this bike is the geometry. It is stable at high speeds yet still can pick through the technical rock gardens easily. Travel adjust shock is a big plus. It is light enough to climb as well as any hardtail, yet has enough travel to descend steep, technical trails easily. It is not a freeride bike, but it is not supposed to be. If you like to earn your descents with tough climbs this bike is hard to beat. Perfect for places like Pisgah National Forest.
