They are Y influenced designs. Even the most affordable Trek aluminum BMX bikes feature the distinctive Trek Team Issue frame design. A single 3.5 diameter helicopter-blade downtube generates 20% greater stiffness than a traditional double diamond frame. On the rear end, the frame benefits from a wishbone and ovalized seatstays which withstand frame flex from V brakes. And a Trek T Power yoke at the bottom bracket, combined with oval chainstays and fat 7mm dropouts, generate added power transfer. Up front, Trek BMX aluminum bikes come with a 11/4 tapered full Cro-Moly fork. Overall, racers will appreciate: Responsive gate starts. Precise handling. Incredible durability. The geometry of the Team Issue 1 models fuel the competitive rider. The Pro sized frames come with a 20.25 top tube, 37.35 wheelbase and 14.75 chainstays which produces a stable ride at high speeds and still proves quick acceleration for hammering out of corners. Pro XL sizing (on Team Issue 1 models) gives larger riders the same ride characteristics in a roomier frame (21 top tube, 38.75 wheelbase, 15.25 chainstays). | Overall Rating: |
