Description:The best little tool to have in your saddle bag - because you never know when you may wear out or loose a chain link. Hollow handle unscrews for easy storage and can be used as leverage bar. Tool and handle fit conveniently into a small neoprene carrying bag.

    Date Reviewed: October 28, 2007
Duration Product Used:More than 3 years
    Purchased At:Halfords
    Strengths:None
Weaknesses:I've broken two chains now out on the trail and both times a mobile phone was more use than this tool. 1st time the tool pushed the rivet out OK but the pin is so soft it burred over at the tip resulting in the pin being left jammed in the chain - out with the phone... So, grind the burrs off the pin and wait two years for the next chain snap. This time the whole pin just bent - out with the phone again.
The tool might be light and easily carried but the pin is just too weak which makes it completely useless and just extra ballast to carry around
Similar Products Used:Park Tools chain tool. This actually works.
Bottom Line:Pin is not up to the job and the chain tool fails you just when you really need it.
