$550.00 | | Purchased At: | Ebay. Frame only. Frame was pretty much new. Custom paint job, steelset included. | | Strengths: | Flippen wicked turning. It has absolutely no flex what so ever in the front or the rear. My profile cranks fit. Takes big hits, small hits, downhill, rock gardens, urban, dirt jumping with no problem. WIll run anything in its way over and look good doing it. | | Weaknesses: | Have to mod parts. No info on the bike avaliable until next week. :D Joel smith now leadin up tomac will be adding a page soon on the mags with info I have gotten and what he has got from johnny t.
Other than that no real negs. | | Similar Products Used: | Azonic Eliminator, Azonic Eliminator 2, Intense m1, Intense m3, Da Bomb, Demo 9. | | Bike Setup: | 03 Mag 204, Custom paint, Avalanche DHS Shock, 04 888r, Steelset, Profile cranks with 6 7/8 spindle, MRP System 2 chainguide modded to a custom system 3 and ISCG. Mag 30 rims rollin on a Hadley front 20mm thru, Custom Hadley 165mm 20mm thru rear hub. XTR cogs. XS 9mm Rail Street BMX seat. ETC ETC ETC. | | Bottom Line: | This bike absolutely is solid. It handles anything better than a demo or m3. Its the best frame Ive owned and beat on. I will probably be racin this bike for 2-4 seasons due to me liking it so much. I doubt it will ever break.
If you can get a hold of a complete one go for it, Unless you want to spend days researchin the parts. Tomac website will have info on the 02-03 mag frames soon. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$1900.00 | | Purchased At: | all over | | Strengths: | stiff, strong, fast, smooth, good stand over space to save your future children | | Weaknesses: | getting parts to fit. if you have an 11 tooth and a 36 tooth you will rub your swing arm, if you want another chain guide, you will need to dick around with the new chain guide to make it fit i.e. e 13. | | Similar Products Used: | you name it. santa cruz, trek, rocky mtn, intense, foes, ellsworth, karpiel | | Bike Setup: | monster t with bolt on stem, fsa pig dh pro, race face diablous bars, odi grips, hayes nine f/r, e 13 srs,dk pedals, fsa cranks, fsa gigapipe 100mm bb, shimano shifting, edco 150mm rear laced to sun doublewide with a maxxis mobster 2.7 tire, front ringle/dw/maxxis mobster 2.7, azonic seat post, azonic lounge seat | | Bottom Line: | its a sweet bike its really smooth and very quiet for a downhill bike, you point this beast and it will mow over anything. its more of a race bike but i took it freeriding and it didnt do too bad for how heavy it is. i think this is a great bike with few problems and great engineering. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$1000.00 | | Purchased At: | from pink bike | | Strengths: | stron construction, stiff rear end with is very importent in cutting corners and on fast tracks, progressiv linkage by Tomac and Bradbury, easton custom tubing and 100mm bb with 148(i thik so) axle. | | Weaknesses: | it's a little bit too hevy but this is not a real issu, maby a chain slap and bike is not able to run on smaller, like 36 tooth chainrings. these are just small issues but it could be fixed, you can just get used to it put something on hainstay and it won't be so noisy :) | | Similar Products Used: | there is nothing similar to this counstrouction, it rocks - Tomac and Bradbury did a great job!!! thanks guys | | Bike Setup: | Marzocchi Super T,Pro Taper bars, rest Titec, hayes HFX hydros with 8" rotors, Mavic D321 wheels,Vanilla RC and Mishelin tires and Truvativ Gigapipe DH 100mm wide bb and Holzfeller 170mm long cranks | | Bottom Line: | I have to tune up suspension a little bit cauz for drops i have to constatantly change compresion in rear shock not to bottom it out. Still with 400lbs spring i didn't dottom it out landing on flat from 5 feet drops. I have to change rear shock for a new Marzocchi Rocco it will be better without no pro pedal platform - suspension will be constantly activ and will smooth every root, every drop or whatever standing on my way. the bike is versatile, on narrow shors it is easy to ballance it, in air - even better, you can do everything with it. it is alsow good for urban riding some stair gaps, long manuals and even longer wheeles, with fork like mine it is great machine for hardcore free rinding with better fork - great racing machine. It coud accep different hubs than edco, es far as I know, these are the only hubs fitting this frame and thay coud sell it with different chainguide, overall it is great bike for freeride and downhill. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$5000.00 | | Strengths: | Frame design is perfect, low center of gravity means you can corner it like no other bike. Frame is super tuff, designed by John TOmac and Doug B, nuff said. | | Weaknesses: | None. | | Similar Products Used: | Giant ATX1, INTENSE....etc etc | | Bike Setup: | Competition downhill, boxxers, etc. | | Bottom Line: | Why buy some crappy frame from some company who has just decided that they think they know all about riding and suspension. Wouldnt you rather buy from a guy thats a legend in not only downhilling but almost all forms of mountain biking. The suspension was designed by the best in the business, and ridden by one of the greats of mountain biking, John Tomac
The back end on this bike puts all bikes to shame in my opinion. Low center of gravity is the way to go. Looking at the frame, its looks kind of simple untill you see the linkages on the swing arm. Its does not bob when your out the saddle pedaling, and your gonna have to pedal if you want them good times in DH..trust me.
Ok, lets sum up.
DOWNHILL, JOHN TOMAC, DOUG BRADBURY, AMERICA = THE BEST. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |
