Im a heavy rider, just under 300lbs, and this is the best seat ive ever ridden when my friends get on my bike they say the same great control and also allows you to slide forward or backward on the seat for uphills and downhills

Very comfy, great for extra control of your bike on the downhills.
Weaknesses:
None. Rails are fine! It's a DH seat which means its for D o w n H i l l. Maybe it's not for jumps or maybe all you who are bending them just need to lose some wieght.

I have tried many and there is none I have found that are as comfortable and my Tioga DH. I have used it for XC rise as well and it is wonderfull.
There have been many reports of bent rails but consider this ANY seat rails can be bent. Around here Azonic has a bad rep for bending their large aluminum rails on the DH seats. I have had my Tioga for over 5 years and other than tears in the cover(Shoe Goo'd shut) the seat is as comfy as when I bought it. The frame rails are straight but the paint on the rails is all chipped off. I am not the best/smoothest rider around and I have come down on this seat HARD, MANY times and it is not bent. My SDG BIg Boy bent within the third real jumping session I had....my error, but I have errored a lot with the Tioga and it keeps coming back for more. I have the red white and blue model and now have a brand new one in my closet for when I finally do have to retire this beast. If you are looking for a DH seat and this seat isn't to big.....then try it.
PS-I am pushing 300lbs and this seat has held up to all my dorky moves and missed pedals.

I found that it became a bit to narrow in the front end so for some uphill climbs you have a seat wedged between your ass. It creaked but I fixed that by tightening the seat bolts

I admit that it was a great seat at first but after a couple months of ruding with it. My ass started to cramp uup on hills on trail rides. I sold the tioga and bought a funn lunch pad. It has a wider surface area and is supercomfy.

I looked around a lot for a seat to replace my last one. I wanted one that was nice and long so I could shift my weight around, and also one that had good padding. The tioga matched this perfectly so I picked it. Within 1.5 weeks I had slightly bent the rails vertically, a week later they were a little more bent, then this past weekend, after 3-4 weeks on the bike, one rail collapsed totally when I took a hard hit on a jump. OK, it was a hard hit but man, the seat only lasted a month tops! My other saddle (the Point) took more abuse than that for sure. Looks like one benefit of a shorter saddle is shorter rails, that's what I'll look for next time.

I haven't tried any other dh saddles, but the base Bontrager on my xc bike held up much better than the Tioga.

Bottom Line:
A very comfortable saddle, but the weakest rails I've ever seen!! I've only had this saddle for a month now, and I havn't dropped more than about 5' so far, but the rails are all bent to hell already.

I road this thing twice, once just doing drop offs at my wharehouse's loading docks, and once on some single track and the saddle now is on the post since the rails completely bent in. I do not jump, drop off, or even ride trails that are rough sitting down, so this thing bent in on normal riding situations. I am a big guy at 200 pounds but this is just silly. I thought the rails were cromo not tin.
I never had this problem on my WTB that I destroyed in a crash.

When i tried by friend's seat, i was so impressed by the comfort of the seat that i went out and bought one. But after a few days, i realized the rails were a little bent. A week later, i was riding and the seat felt funny. I got off and the seat was twisted, bent in every direction imaginable. note: i only weigh 135 lbs. for comfort i'd give it a 5, but it lacks in strenth.

This saddle is the sofa de la sofa, it lets you kick the bike around in mid air, as well as for cornering and kicking the back out easier. If DH is your thing then the Tioga DH is for you!! It gets full marks from me!

I will never sit on another saddle again! I have one on my slalom frame as well. it's so comfy I'm tempted to watch tv on my bike. It also is a huge advantage in racing because it's like having a second handle bar you hold with yer knees and you can push the bike anywhere you like in complete control so it's more than a seat, it's a way of life

My friend has one and we have renamed it 'TIOGA Candybar Lounge Suite'. Yea, it rocks but it does look a bit crappy on his LTS 2 and he ripped it real easy...umm, well, Lardner was and pulled a wheelie in clipless and fell on his arse. Funny incident, great banana lounge.
