I am pretty disappointed with them. | | Similar Products Used: | WTB velociraptor | | Bike Setup: | KHS comp with wheels | | Bottom Line: | I bought these tyres because they were a real bargain. 20 bucks for two-i got them off this guy i knew who works at a bikeshop. Sounded great, kevlar bead, foldable. Put them on, they didn't grip as well as the Velociraptor's i had had on i dunno i just liked them better, I know velociraptor's aren't really in the same class but i'm definitely going back to them. The Psycho's get punctured by anything, I once got a puncture from a little stick!!
Sorta alright but just don't offer enough protection from debris and aren't strong enough especially if you pay full retail.

Bontrager Jones | | Bottom Line: | These tires are a weight weenie's delight. You sacrifice durability to get that low weight. Up to the rider to decide which is more important. Unlike some light weights, you don't have to give up much else. Traction and handling are good, (except in the wet) especially compared to the semi-slicks that make up this weight class. This tire does exactly what it was designed to do: give you full-size knobby grip and handling in a feather-weight, disposable package. | Overall Rating: |

I have been using LTD for years and they work well for me (last quite long no flats, etc) possibly because I run them on a full suspension and I weight 145pounds.However I post this because after reading a lot of negative reviews on the Psycho K (which are identically shaped) I realized that something really simple can be done to improve the cornering ability of the tire.
using a razor blade I just cut the edge of the outside knob (on both sides) about 2/3 mm. The result is a profile of the outside which is rounder and makes (in my experience) the tire much more progressive in turns (the vertical edge of the knob on the original tire make for a somewhat abrupt transition from vertical to bent to losing traction). I thought to share this little trick (it takes about twenty minutes to modify the two tires) because it made a good tire into something better.Duzzi

This tire is so thin that the tiniest thorn gives you a flat. It sucks in any wet condition.

They have the soft rubber and hold well on climbs but they wear rather fast. If you have the cash to pay for new ones (if you can find any) I would definitly get them! | | Overall Rating: |

This tyre is very light but the weight savings do not add up for the tyres less than perfect performance. The tire wears fairly quickly and is not very predictable around corners. | | Overall Rating: |
