    Favorite Trail:The Stairway to Heaven
    Duration Product Used:2 Years
    Price Paid: $20.00
    Purchased At:?forgot? Maybe Pederson's
Strengths:Long bar end. Improves riding posture when set up high.
Weaknesses:None so far. With my setup (90 degress from ground level and slightly bent forward)it makes jumping harder.

Bike Setup:Iron Horse 2.0 8 sp XT everything. Mavic crossride wheels.
Bottom Line:I LOVE the extra long design. I set mine at 90 degrees then just slightly bend them forward so I don't kill my back on the flat parts (I can sit upright). I noticed a reviewer here put that the bar ends are like Bon Jovi and are Slippery When Wet. I agree they are also hot when sunny. I eliminated these problems by wrapping them with roadbike cork wrap. An easy way to kill $20.00 and like it.

P.S. What am I supposed to do with those super short nub-bar ends? Please Email me, because the bike shops around here tell me it is a personal preference.

    Bottom Line:
I own the extended version and, for the price, these are great bar ends. They've really improved my shitty bike's climbing.

No complaints, they do their job. I have the long version though.

    Date Reviewed: June 14, 1996
    Bottom Line:

These barends are fairly light and are strong, there short length is also well suited to my riding style. A proble associated with these barends is that when wet they can become quite slippery.
