$140.00 | | Purchased At: | Action Bikes, London UK | | Strengths: | Comfortable, stiff, and they look great! | | Weaknesses: | None experienced | | Similar Products Used: | Shimano, Adidas | | Bike Setup: | Kona Hei Hei, Pace Carbon forks, XTR, Spin wheels. | | Bottom Line: | Great shoes, very pleased with their performance in dry and muddy conditions. The Velcro straps kept everything nice and tight.
They've unfortunately just died, so time to get some more!

from Arlinton VA Date Reviewed: May 22, 2000 | | Duration Product Used: | Less than 1 month | | Strengths: | Light, good fit, soft pleather uppers | | Weaknesses: | Flexible, soft pleather uppers, poor traction without spikes screwed in. | | Similar Products Used: | Nike, Specialized | | Bike Setup: | Airborne xt/lx | | Bottom Line: | WARNING! This is for the new yellow/red ones you can get from Colorado Cyclist with the Time Pedals for $200.
I wore them 6 times - 2 off road, 4 on road. The pleather on the sides has holes in it & the paint/polish is coming off. In general, after 1 month they look like other shoes I have owned for 2 years.
If you do any hike-a-bike in rocky terrain, this shoe is NOT for you. Even with the velcro tight enough to cut of circulation the shoe still slipped around my foot. The sides are just too soft and do not provide any support. I do not think they will last that long even if you do not ever do the hike-a-bike.
If you are over 200lbs and ride hard, after a few rides the shoe will flex a lot.
Unfortunately because I have worn them, Col Cyc would not let me return them, understandable I guess. No store credit, no discount, just me and my new shoes that look like they are 2 years old.
This may be an OK shoe for lighter riders who do not ever hike-a-bike.
For the rest of you, you have been warned, do not shell out hard-earned cash for these.
