Submitted by Mike a Cross Country Rider from Boston
Date Reviewed: October 24, 2001
Favorite Trail:Lynn Woods
Duration Product Used:6 months
Price Paid: $220.00
Purchased At:REI
Strengths:Best $/cu. ft. ratio (i.e low), light - easy to install.
Weaknesses:Paper covers for unused mount hole look flimsy, but they do the job.
Similar Products Used:Thule base racks and ski rack for ~10 years. Pickup truck bed.
Bike Setup:2001 Trek 4900 21" frame
Bottom Line:Worked great all summer, through rain and never conciously going below the speed limit. No leakage in rain. I got it rather than the wide/short box so it would fit skis and minimize the hit on gas milage, and leave room for the bike.
