READS ONE HEART RATE READING AT A TIME. REALLY ONLY GOOD FOR READING HEAT RATE FIRST THING IN TH MORNING. NO BACKLIGHT (WOULD BE NICE TO NOT HAVE TO TURN ON A LIGHT WAKING THE SIGNIFICANT OTHER) AND BACKLIGHTS ARE CHEAP - I HAVE A 10 DOLLAR WATCH WITH ONE. IF YOU DONT PRESS YOUR FINGER HARD ON THE SENSING BUTTON, YOU GET AN ERROR READING

I GOT THIS WITH A GIFT CERTIFICATE FROM PERFORMANCE. IT IS BASICALLY USELESS TO USE WHILE ACTUALLY CYCLING.
BUT THAT 'S NOT WHAT IT IS DESIGNED FOR. I KEEP IN ON MY NIGHT TABLE TO READ MY HR RIGHT BEFORE I GET UP IN THE MORNING. FOR THIS, THE UNIT IS GREAT. YOU MUST SET AND RESET FOR EACH READING WHICH TAKES ABOUT 20 - 30 SECONDS. YOU HIT SET AND PLACE YOUR FINGER FIRMLY ON A SMALL BUTTON, IN ABOUT 20 SECONDS THE MONITOR SHOWS A READING IN BIG EASY TO READ NUMBERS -GOOD FOR EARLY IN THE MORNING(NOTE NO BACK-LIGHT ON THE UNIT) AND HOLDS THAT READING UNTIL YOU HIT RESET AND START OVER. I TAKE A COUPLE READINGS EACH MORNING. MOST OF THEM PRETTY CLOSE. I GET A HIGH OR LOW READING EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE. OVERALL THIS IS A GREAT CHEAP UNIT TO MEASURE YOUR RESTING HEART RATE TO DETERMINE YOUR TRAINING FOR THE DAY. OR YOU COULD JUST USE THE OLE FINGER ON THE THROAT, BUT SEEING AN ACTUAL READOUT IS BETTER THAN COUNTING BEATS ON YOUR THROAT AND HAVING TO LOOK AT A WATCH - IN MY OPINON. DONT EVEN THINK ABOUT TRYING TO USE IT WHILE RIDING/RUNNING
