$1200.00 | | Purchased At: | Evans Cycles | | Strengths: | Very well made. I dont tink I could break it if I put my bosses picture on it and took a hammer to it. | | Weaknesses: | it's loud. I swear. Once you switch into a harder gear, look out, it sounds as if you're aboot to take off on an aeroplane runway. plus, setting the bike up on the trainer is hard, because one of the levers is perpetually stuck. i doubt i'll ever lug that thing to a warm-up before a race; by the time you fit your bike into the trainer, it'll be time for the race. | | Similar Products Used: | is a product that has great interest for me. It allows you to race against other people on the Internet. Tacx has a similar product but it doesnt have the Internet racing look at . | | Bike Setup: | Czech Ravo 2006 carbon bike (dont concern yourselves too much abouthte site if you can't read Czech!!). | | Bottom Line: | ok for a startup but really doesnt cut the mustard with regards to moise ad your ability to watch tv while riding etc. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

a Racer

$160.00 | | Purchased At: | http://www.lickbike.com/ | | Strengths: | Offers a wide range of ability to adjust resistance levels. At its most difficult setting, it offers more than enough resistance for even the strongest of riders. Comes with a rear skewer for use with the trainer. Noise levels from this quieter than I expected. Folds quickly. | | Weaknesses: | Some use of plastic parts, where metal would appear to be stronger over the long term. Terrible assembly instructions! A small knob on the bottom of the unit really has to be cranked down to get enough tightness to keep the wheel from slipping, and the knob isn't that easy to grip. Locking mechanism which clamps onto skewer could be better designed. | | Bike Setup: | Lemond Chamery 2001 | | Bottom Line: | Worth a look if you want a trainer that offers maximum levels of resistance. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |
