$30.00 | | Purchased At: | EBay | | Strengths: | steel is real! nice sweep and finish | | Weaknesses: | none yet | | Similar Products Used: | carbon, monkey bars, bent and dropped | | Bike Setup: | B.A.S.S. 44x16 paul, surly, race face parts, odi grips | | Bottom Line: | nothing beats a great flat bar. with this you get nitto, surly, and steel for a cheap price. this bar has zero flex and i ride pretty hard and weigh in at over 220lbs. if you ride ss this bar is perfect. nice rise for fine tuning arm position and it is the perfect length for leverage without being too long | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

from Sydney Date Reviewed: March 27, 2002 | | Favorite Trail: | Andersons and the lost world | | Duration Product Used: | 6 months | | Strengths: | Strong and stiff bar | | Weaknesses: | Nothing, it isn't weak | | Similar Products Used: | various alloy bars | | Bike Setup: | Surly 1*1, surly bars, surly hubs, ritchey rims with black dt spokes, truvative S/S cranks
| | Bottom Line: | The surly bar is the best for single speeding. I haven't been able to bend or flex these yet on the many epic rides I've done with the lads. the bars are wide and need to be and the sweep makes for a comfortable position and ride. If you are planning to build up a S/S or already have one, do yourself a favour and get a bar that has been designed for S/S by S/S riders. If you are an Aussie reading this I know they may be a little more in price than some of the handlebars out there but the difference in the ride is huge, especially when you need to climb the hills. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |
