    Date Reviewed: May 4, 2008
    Duration Product Used:6 months
    Price Paid: $60.00
    Purchased At:rim cyclery
    Strengths:none
Weaknesses:bends easily, spokes loosen easily, lateral flex is horrible
    Similar Products Used:SUV, HALO
Bottom Line:out on a dh trip in souhtern utah, blew my hub and decided to get a whole new wheel cause the guy at rim cyclery insisted the Single track will handle dh riding, but he was very very wrong. they really pissed me off. they clearly arent for downhilling so i suppose they would be ok for xc, but if you like to go on a trail with maybe a rock or two you cant avoid- dont get these rims cause they are shieza(unless truing rims is a favorite pastime of yours.).

Favorite Trail:Ape Canyon, Mt. St. Helens, WA.
Duration Product Used:More than 3 years
    Price Paid: $35.00
    Purchased At:Fat Tire Farm, OR.
Strengths:I've had these wheels on 3 different bikes from urban to freeride. Never had a truing problem at all NEVER!!! Yeah, you do get rock hit on the rims, but never did I dent a rim. I have these in both 20mm and standard front hub. Great rim at a great price...
Weaknesses:None, I know a friend that wipe out 3/4 of his spokes on this rim. After some trail fixing, he road the bike back to the truck over 5 miles!!!
Similar Products Used:None. All the other rims or wheel sets I use are Mavic.
Bike Setup:FOES FXR with Fox Talis, Raceface, SRAM, Easton, Maxxis tires. Other bike is CoilAir with a Z150 Marz., Shimano, SRAM, Raceface bars and stem.
Bottom Line:You pay for what you get, when you buy wheels! All those jumpers out there should step up and spend the money for D-Max Mavic wheelsets. Singletracks are the best buy for the money not a bad cheep wheelset at all. If your having true problems then find a bike shop that know how to build wheels and use stright 14 or 15 guage spokes.

    Purchased At:some shop in Brantford
Strengths:cheap and strong enough for someone who doesn't like to push thier limits. I guess they look alright to and the hubs they came with are decent.
Weaknesses:I've never seen a wheel go out of true so many times for so little reason. These things enjoy wobbling around and bending with the least bit of sorce. I got these on a jump/urban bike and it's not like ove been jumping buses and stuff, I'm only 130lbs and I dont case every double i come across or smack off the edge of anything i see thats hard and pointed. but ive still got big dents in the rim along with a wobble that I have to true out constantly.
Similar Products Used:Double Tracks and ADD's along with other stuff I dont remember the names of. Well basically kit that works better than these. Ive got Rhino Lites on my AM rig that take more abuse without any evedence of damage.
Bike Setup:2006 Specialized P2. Stock minus an eThirteen bashy, Axiom Road Gap pedals and WTB lock-ons with envy caps.
Bottom Line:Don't expect these to last long if you ride harder than a 10 year old. These things would work well for aggressive AM or some very smooth jumping if you dnot mind a bot of wieght. Thier plus is thier cheap so you can replace them easy but youd be daft to buy the sme rim. get something better even if it costs more.

    cheers

Bottom Line:dont get them. i dont hate them but theres better wheels out there. save your money and get easton. i weight 150 in gear and i shouldnt be able to crack them. kinda heavy too. dont bother with them. unless its your last resort

Favorite Trail:Double Black Diamond at Wolf Mountain
    Duration Product Used:1 Year
    Price Paid: $140.00
Purchased At:Came with bike I bought
Strengths:Cheap and good for entry level biking.
Weaknesses:When you start stepping up they aren't that strong. They come out of true EXTREMELY easily. So if you case your bike on jumps you can be expecting a chunk of money to be taken out of your wallet too. Also be expecting a crack in the rim. They also bend really easily from rocks getting kicked up into the sides of the rims. The spokes on these rims are also way weak sauce.
    Bike Setup:2006 Kona Stinky stock.
Bottom Line:Before reading this it is important to know that I weigh 140 pounder. They are great for getting into the wonderful world of freeride and downhill biking but in the long run it is better for you to just spend more money and get stronger rims. But if you got them now then be expecting some difficulties with them very soon. If you don't know how to tune your bike rims very well and you are pretty ruff on your rims and if you are also a hefty person then these aren't the ones for you. So if you are good at tuning spokes, truing wheels, straightening bends in rims, then these are the rims for you!!!

    Duration Product Used:2 Years
Strengths:not too heavy, not too light. Nice overall look. Strong for the design and weight
Weaknesses:based on my type of riding, (XC/all mtn/lt freeride) there are non
Similar Products Used:Alex wheels, Mavic, etc
Bike Setup:Banshee scirocco, avid juciys, marz am3, king headset, maxxis/panaracer tires, etc....
Bottom Line:for my type of riding which is at the most light freeride, these wheel set is great. They are strong but not too heavy. Very forgiving and the overall appeal/look are nice when looked at as a whole. I've ran through axles and regular qr and never had an issue as of yet. I've used them in various parts of the country too and they ahve held up fine. No complaints from me.

Weaknesses:at the weld my brothers rim was starting to come apart at about a 12 foot drop
Bike Setup:melie ua 500, drop off 4, deore stuff, and fsa and easton
Bottom Line:these rim are ok for light riding but if you go bigger tham 12 feet than you probaly should change rims

    Duration Product Used:1 Year
    Price Paid: $150.00

Strengths:Welded rim, indestructable construction, looks good, holds up well to berms, small drops, downhill runs and road rides on really chewed up tarmac.
    Weaknesses:none!!
