Stick to any skate shoes like glue. I have heard from some people that they break if you hit them on rocks but thats ok cause there cheap as dirt! Also they cut up the back of ur legs just happened to me it kinda looks like I got clawed by a bear! Great for downhill, freeride, or even cross country. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$65.00 | | Purchased At: | Bike Works | | Strengths: | Strong, Very Grippy, and they're quite large which is great for people with big feet like me. The studs don't seem like they'd break very easily at all. | | Weaknesses: | Definatley not quite as grippy when they're wet. They can cut you up quite easily... | | Similar Products Used: | Stock metal pedals | | Bike Setup: | 2007 Kona Blast | | Bottom Line: | I have only been on these pedals for a few weeks, but so far I love em. The guy I bought them from quite literally told me that if they hit your shins hard, they're going to rip flesh from bone. So either suck it up and get a few scars (plus carry a first aid kit)...or wear shin guards. Besides that I'm really happy with these for the price. I've banged these off a few rocks quite hard and the most that happened was the black paint chipped off a bit. The studs seem really tough. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

If you are serious at all dont plan on them lasting long at all. $40.00 | | Purchased At: | LBS | | Strengths: | Extremely gripy, inexpensive, light, replaceable pins, Looks awesome on a MTB Value! | | Weaknesses: | Non so far. Maybe the paint comes off when you scrape a rock or two. | | Bottom Line: | 28 pins keep you firmly planted on these peddles. They have great mud clearance and you can use them with any shoe you own. (but for bear feet lol OUCH), Big contact area, pins seem indestructible!
I bought these when my Wellgo cage strap ins broke to the spindle in a matter of a week. Have had these 7 months and the only thing I have broke or damaged are a few rocks, logs, and sidewalk curbs. OH and my shins a bit. Grip light glue and takes a bit to get use to having such a large surface that you have you foot on. But other wise perfect for the price and anyone who likes a big grippy peddle.
Looks awesome on a MTB. Fits in well too, though I have some BMX ers ask me were to get a par. Lol I like them and have ordered another 2 pair for my other bike and as spare.
I hear that the cross bar brakes but hasent happened to me and I have hit may things that has nearly flipped me with them.

$30.00 | | Strengths: | Great pedals if you can keep from breaking them. Stick to your feet like glue if you're wearing Vans or other sticky flat-soled shoes. | | Weaknesses: | Cross bar broke when it smacked a log I was riding over. This pedal wasn't designed to withstand any type of real impact to that crossbar. There just isn't enough meat left in the frame after the holes are drilled for the outermost pins on those crossbars. Mine broke right at those pin holes and it was clear as day just how little material there is to take any direct impacts. | | Similar Products Used: | None really, I was a clipless guy before. | | Bike Setup: | KHS FR2000, Bomber FR SL, Rhynolites, Kenda Nevegal 2.5's. | | Bottom Line: | There cheap for what you get. $29.00 | | Purchased At: | JensonUSA | | Strengths: | Grippy, strong, do their job. Lighter than my Primo Tenderizers | | Weaknesses: | Painful when they hit your shins. All platforms should do that, so this really isn't a negative at all. | | Similar Products Used: | Primo Tenderizers, Odyssey cage, Tioga Surefoot, Lots of unmarked stock platforms,... | | Bike Setup: | FSRxc Comp w/ XT/SRAM, Psylo Race, Avid mechs | | Bottom Line: | All of the pins on this pedal are replaceable, and stronger than most other platforms. I pounded a rock with the face of one pedal and when I looked expecting to see some missing pins, I instead saw rock fragments and rock powder coating the pedal. That is good. It is platforms like these that convince me never to buy a set of clipless pedals. The grips is amazing, and I can ride in any decent pair of shoes I choose. Skate shoes are the best. For the price, you can afford to buy a pair of these a year, but I have never had bad luck with the bearing in my pedals. I'm going to get a spare set just to have around too. You never know. Yeah, I recommend them. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$25.00 | | Purchased At: | Ebay | | Strengths: | Did not break the cages. | | Weaknesses: | Both pedals started to show play after a year. Took them apart and was amazed to find that they had no inboard bearings. Just a sleeve that rotated on the pedal spindle. Just like the plastic pedals on a $90 X-Mart bike. Cheap. Anyway, the lubrication was gone on one pedal, so the spindle was scored and shot. I tried to service the other pedal, and found that the outboard cartridge bearing was held in place with a 7mm (yes, 7mm) metric aluminim cap nut. Which of course promptly stripped. Where in the hell am I going to find a 7mm nut? Stupid design. Cheap implementation. | | Similar Products Used: | Everything. In contrast, these pedals are junk. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$20.00 | | Purchased At: | chain reacion bikes | | Strengths: | These pedals are light, they stick to your shoes, and are pretty cheap. They are good starter pedals for urban riding. They are also good for xc trails that aren't rocky. | | Weaknesses: | These pedals dont hold up very well on things like dirt jumps, especially when you are learning and tend to crash... I cracked one of my crossbars on a dirt jump. I know several people in gainesville that have broken or cracked their zuzu's on rocks or jumps at one time or another. | | Similar Products Used: | They were my first platforms. $28.00 | | Purchased At: | Jenson | | Strengths: | Grippy... smooth. | | Weaknesses: | Weak... bearings will loosen quickly. | | Similar Products Used: | Wellgo, S&M, Primo | | Bike Setup: | Yep. | | Bottom Line: | The good about this pedal is that it grips great and spins smoother than most loose bearing pedals.
The bad is that the part of the pedal that holds the four tractions pins breaks easily. I cracked mine within like a week of installation, but continued to ride it. It finally completely broke so I replaced it with a spare Zu Zu. On my trip out of state, I broke the pedal again in the same exact spot. The crossbar that has four traction pins seems a bit weak. Considering that mountain biking sometimes takes riders into rock gardens and ledges, it's kinda strange. Maybe I'm being a bit piddly because I've used other similar pedals for years and have never had them break like that. I'm talking 7+ years, and seven different bikes and numerous sets of pedals (I don't ride clipless on but one bike). I've ripped traction pins clean out of the bodies, destroyed bearings, worn pins down to nubs but never broken any of the pedals but these. Build em stronger.
* When the service department tries to sell you a set of their new pedals when you inquire about warranty replacement, that's a bad sign. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |
