Strengths:
they look alright...that's about it.
Weaknesses:
absolute Worst shifter's ever made (at least that i've ridden). left shifter broke within 30 minutes of setting out on first ride. right shifter fell apart 30 miles out on the trail in Pisgah National Forest (rode out with only my front shifter).
Don't spend even $5 on these shifters. they really are absolutely they worst shifters if not of all time, then at least 2002.
Similar Products Used:
Shimano Deore 9 speed, XT 8 speed, old gripshift.
Bottom Line:
Pure and absolute JUNK. I would give it a negative rating if I could.

Strengths:
New 8 speed trigger shifters. Glad to see someone is makeing 8 speed components.
Weaknesses:
Fragile construction. Bulky design.
Similar Products Used:
Shimano XT rapidfire
Bike Setup:
XT mega 9 derailluers. Sram 9sp chain. XT 8sp shifters. XT 8sp cassette. Yes this set up works!
Bottom Line:
I wanted to stay with 8 speed so I bought them hoping they were an alternative to Shimano, who no longer makes 8 speed shifters. They are large and dificult to adjust on your bar with your brake levers. The construction is fragile, lots of plastic. The front shifter has a very long throw, making shifting slow and fatiguing. I decided they wouldn't be durable enough and the shifting wouldn't be smooth. Fortunately Jenson exchange these for a set of XT 8sp shifters they just got in stock. I don't think Sram makes these anymore but I've seen them on E-bay. Don't buy them.
