Cheap and looks pretty good.
Weaknesses:
Crank arm comes loose and falls off. No matter how hard you tighten the bolt it stays on for a few days and then falls off again. Especially on harder rides.

Bottom Line:
This crank came stock on my Trek 4300. One of the crank arms came loose and fell off with the pedal. I lost the bolt and had to replace it. The arm keeps falling off on harder rides. No matter how hard you tighten it. I will be replacing the whole thing soon. You get what you pay for. I love my Trek 4300, but the SR Suntour XCC is horrible.

Bottom Line:
I used this crankset in a bike race :) it appeared very unstable. I was out of front shifting during all of the major moments. The chain isn't catched by the teeth at all.
Recreation or "noobies" use only !!!
Should be replaced ASAP.

crank arms got easily scratched, exposing the aluminum color. I also noticed that the "teeth" on the chain rings were not consistent is size, some were shorter than the others...???

Bottom Line:
Well, for a newbie like me, this crankset is fine for my needs at the moment mainly using it in the village/paved roads. Will see if it can handle more demanding conditions in off-road trails. When I wear it out, I will upgrade to a 9-speed with Shimano Deore or other good components.

Cheap, cant swap out the rings, if you ever get any lube on the threads you might as well throw em out they will wobble loose, they have to be installed tight and dry. 24-34-42 rings, smaller than most so there are few replacement choices.

all, this thing falls apart very easily. after only about 6 monthes with my bike, the pedel off. so i take a socket wrench to it and fix it up. problem solved, right? wrong. it turns out no matter how hard you yank the wrench, after about a mile, it gets loose and falls off.

This crank set came on bicycle when purchased. I am VERY disappointed with the performance of this set. I will be replacing it ASAP! I cannot stand the noise produced while pedaling. Stay away from this one if you ride even the least bit hard. If you are just cruising around town and ride easy this maybe OK for you.

Very cheap material - threads are useless. Crank came stock on my Kona Fire Mountain. I removed the cranks to replace a bad bottom bracket. Crank was held on with a nut vs. typical Allen bolt (Kona's fault). In the process of removing the nut with a socket, I TOUCHED (with socket) the inner threads (for the crank puller) and the threads instantly were damaged. Bingo.. puller was useless until I had to file the damaged treads smooth to access remaining threads. After removing the crank arm.. I inspected the square taper hole... there was a corner missing!!!!! and a hole (as if there was an air bubble left when "forging"). I saw that... and instantly threw them in the garbage.. TERRIBLE PRODUCT. TERRIBLE.

Teeth bend easily, I hit a log and bent 2 teeth on the first chain ring. Like the review below me, mine wobbled after hard riding as well as having the same problem with the Allen screw.

The bottom line is that these cranks will last you for the time being, but I wouldn't rely on them heavily. Mine came loose, wobbled, bent easily, etc. There you have it.

chainrings wobble after 10+ rides of heavy pedaling. Screws that go through the center of the crank loosen easily causing premature wear.

Bottom Line:
Tighten the hell out of those two allen bolts and you're set. The wobble doesn't bother me unless I'm on the largest chainring and that is very rare.
