IT was a gift
Strengths:
Clean ride. Very light A1 frame.
Weaknesses:
Cheap components. The frame is the only thing of real value. Shocks work but have no lockout for street riding.
Similar Products Used:
Specialized Stumpjumper
Bike Setup:
Specialized A1 frame, Fat boy slicks, Surly SS hub w Godspeed tensioner. Still building it up to be an urban assault bike.
Bottom Line:
I know it was a gift but I'm gonna end up spending more on good parts that the bike itself is valued.

Strengths:
Good weight frame, agile but at the same time really confident sturdy ride.. Have given mine a few upgrades just to suit my style of riding, works well for me for all conditions.. Especially muddy cross country tracks.
Weaknesses:
The standard gear set-up could be a bit better... Upgraded mine to the Shimano Alivio set. Brilliant!

A gary Fischer.. and had a trek for a while... Prefer the specialized by far.
Bike Setup:
Standard HRXC 2006 Model... Upgraded to Shimano Alivio Gear setup, running Michelin Mountain Xtreme tyres... Awesome for rough terrain and mud riding!
