    Strengths:Rolls well on hardpack. 600grams.
    Weaknesses:Leaky sidewalls
Similar Products Used:Crossmark, Larsen tt, Kenda SB8, Kenda Karma, Vredestein Killerbee.
    Bike Setup:Giant Anthem
Bottom Line:Very irritating loss of air through sidewalls. Gets better in time with Joe's sealant.
Don't call a tire "tubeless" or 2bliss if you do't mean it.

Bottom Line:IF YOU LIVE IN A PLACE WHERE THE GROUND HAS PERFECT SOIL THAT IS NICE AND TACKY ALL THE TIME THESE WILL WORK. BUT IF THE GROUND IS HARD W/LOOSE DIRT ON TOP OR LEAVES ON THE TRAIL OR PINE STRAWL BASICALLY ANYTHING OTHER THAN PERFECT RACE CONDINTIONS WELL I HOPE YOUR BRAKES WORK BETTER THAN THESE TIRS BECAUSE YOUR GOING TO NEED THEM.THE EDGES ARE TO NARROW AND SOFT PROBABLY A WIDER BASE ON THE TREAD WOULD HELP BUT WHO KNOWS.ONE THING EVERYBODY SHOULD REMEMBER IS THAT JUST BECAUSE A PRO RIDES THEM DOESNT MEAN ITS A GOOD PRODUCT THIS STUFF IS GIVEN TO THEM TO USE BY THIER SPONSERS AND YOU NEVER SAY BAD STUFF ABOUT YOUR SPONSERS PRODUCT!!!!!WORDS OF WISDOM FROM AN X RACER

    Duration Product Used:6 months
Purchased At: ~ 53 $ at local bike shop
    Strengths:Excellent grip
    Weaknesses:nearly irreparable; leaky
    Bike Setup:Stevens F7, XT, HS33, Crossrocs
Bottom Line:This is just an addition to my posting a few months ago. In the meantime the rear tire became leaky without having a puncture. Within less than a week it is flat. Having in mind all the trouble with trying to repair the punctured front tire and the rather poor service from Specialized and now also a leaky rear tire, I am completely fed up with this product set. I cannot recommend to buy this tubeless tire set at all.

    Favorite Trail:Bear Creek
    Duration Product Used:3 months
    Price Paid: $50.00
    Strengths:Traction and bite are fantastic.
Weaknesses:Leaky, leaky, leaky. They will go TOTALLY FLAT overnight. Loses noticable pressure DURING A RIDE! Leaks through the sidewall!
Similar Products Used:Geax tubeless, Specialized Team Control/Master non-tubeless.
    Bike Setup:Litespeed Obed F/S - full XTR
Bottom Line:The shop where I bought them told me that Specialized says they are "Race Only" tires, and aren't meant to be used as XC tires(?). They say they know they leak, and they can't (won't) do anything about it. Too bad, I REALLY liked the non-tubeless versions. I can't recommend that anyone buy these tires.

    Date Reviewed: August 7, 2002
    Duration Product Used:3 months
    Purchased At:53
Strengths:Excellent grip; keeps you on even rough trails
    Weaknesses:seems to be irreparable
    Bike Setup:Stevens F7, XT, Magura HS33, Mavic Crossrocs, Specialized S-works Team Master/Control 2bliss
Bottom Line:I was using this tire combination for nearly three months when the front tire got a little puncture. First I tried to repair it by means of a usual repair kit, using rubber patches and vulcanizing solution. Although everything looked fine the patch did not seal the puncture completely; still a leak. My local dealer tried various products (also for tubeless systems)in order to sort this problem out, but nothing has worked so far. I was recommended to use a sealing solution (SLIME) which unfortunately I cannot buy in Germany, meaning I do not know whether this would finally work. So far it looks as if I would have to use tubes again in order to use this "tubeless" tire, which is -from my point of view- complete nonsense.

At the beginning I was really exited about the performance of these tubeless tires, but if an even small puncture leads you to the decision either to use a tube again or buy a completely new tire because it is irreparable then I cannot recommend this product. 4 Chilis for the tires performance as long as they work properly without punctures, 1 Chili for a tire which at a price of $ 53 seems to be a one-way product.
