Weaknesses:
Have to be very careful to make sure the pressure is over 24 PSI. Anything less and you're in trouble.

Bottom Line:
Downhilling at Sunrise the tire blew off after a couple burps. The crash when it came off was pretty spectacular too. I don't think it's the right setup for DH. For the standard rider on demanding terrain it's sweet!

This tire is a true 2.4, dwarfing a 2.5" wierwolf it replaced. Tons of traction. The dual compound allows it to roll surprisingly well and still hook up in most conditions. I have run these tires for over a year and tried both tubed and tubeless versions. At 800+/- grams they are lighter than most other options in their size. The casing is strong enough to take shuttle runs at Downieville and Northstar. Yet the tire rolls well enough for all day epics.
Only complaint I have is that running them on a narrower rim makes them roll over, feel soft, and not track well. In their defense the 2.4 size was over the manufacturers 2.3max recommendation.

Bottom Line:
These tires spread out very nicely on such a wide rim. The grip that the tubless concept adds is very noticable. I've dropped 10 lbs psi in each tire (was 45/50 f/r, now 35/40 f/r). These tires have immense grip on Colorado terrain.
I notice a little tread squirm with such low pressures, but it isn't a problem to get used to. (I weigh 210 lbs).
