Strengths:Strengths: Ok, now i had a choice between a Bontrager Jones ac, a Tioga Red Pheonix, and a specialized Team Control tire. they were all in my hands and picked the team control becuase of the following:

-the highest durometer tire i have ever riden or seen, and it probably has a shore-A 100 kevlar rubber
-Crazy semi-knob perfect tire, and it has about a cm on each side of my frame ( the reason why i was getting a new tire)
-ITs specialized! they have a great reputation in their products and bikes
-its tread pattern will grab on to dirt and rocks like no other tire i had - they say its MTB XC but i say its a 4X race tire - its perfect
Weaknesses:Weaknesses: none so far, but when i was putting it on i saw that the inside of the tire opposite to the tread was a very thick was of kevlar rubber- this is not a weakness but i thought it wouldnt fit the tube i had because the solid rubber was concave and it might put pressure onn the tube's sidewall, i was wrong- easy installation! and no pressure at all on the tube sidewall
Similar Products Used:Similar Products Tried: Kenda Kinectics DH, Vuelta USA Semi-Slicks, Nokian NBX XC, Tioga Factory DH 2.1. etc..
Bottom Line:Bottom Line: Its a good tire knobs dont fall off of it so buy it!

Strengths:This tire is a great tire when used as a front tire. The flack jacket design really works. your able to control this tire in almost all conditions (See below for details) Great prcie as well it lasts and it's cheap!
Weaknesses:Front only design if you like that sort of thing I guess it's not a weakness but to me it is. This tire does not do sand well at all it will sketch not as bad as the rockster pro's I've used but it will give ya a scare.
Similar Products Used:WTB Velicoraptors, WTB Primal Raptors(SUCKS), Specialized Rockster Pro (REALLY SUCKS), Specilized Team Master (See Review on this one as well) Panaracer Fire XC pros (Current on My Stumpjumper)
Bike Setup:This Bike Is My Dimondback V-Link 1.2, It's my knock around bike when I don't feel like using my Stumpjumper. There are to many rebuild parts to count on this one due to it's about four to five years old and has been thrashed more times than I can count mostly used for dirt jumping due to the fact that I don't like screwing up my real x country bike.
Bottom Line:This is a really great tire for those on a budget and don't feel like breaking the bank on tires. The flack jacket design by specilized really works and will stop flats in reason. What do I mean by reason let me explain

WHAT IT WILL STOP: Thorns, sharp rocks, small bits of glass, snake bites, impacts, sharp bits of wood like wood chips, basiclly any thing found on the trails
WHAT IT WON'T STOP: Auto Glass, large pieces of glass EG broken bottles, Metal EG Ripped aluminum cans. Basiclly anything found as road garbage.

Please be reasonable the people who say that the flack jacket design does not work are probably complaining about all the glass and broken road pavement they road through and puctured or sheared their tire off! If your looking for this type of protection buy some motorcycle tires and put them on if you think this is stupid your right just about as stupid as complaining about this broken bottle took out my tire I'm Out PEACE!
