Submitted by Nathan a Cross Country Rider from Issaquah
Date Reviewed: July 6, 2005
Duration Product Used:1 Year
Price Paid: $80.00
Strengths:Comfortable for running and hike-a-bike.
Light weight
Weaknesses:A summer only shoe unless wearing Seal Skinz
Bottom Line:For adventure racing, they are one of the best. Some races are half riding and half hike-a-bike. Thy that in a stiff soled shoe...blister city.

Submitted by Jon a Cross Country Rider from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada
Date Reviewed: March 29, 2005
Duration Product Used:6 months
Price Paid: $85.00
Purchased At:Boh's Cycle
Strengths:Look cool, more like casual shoes than bike shoes. Decent to walk around in
Weaknesses:heel cup feels too low, almost like foot will pop out of shoe. Difficult to get cleat in pedals sometimes, cleat shifts around on shoe base.
Bike Setup:Ironhorse Sonic, Complete XT drivetrain, Truvativ cranks, innovader tires, rhynolite rims/xt hubs, box brakes
Bottom Line:Decent shoe for people doing more casual trail riding and commutting by mtb. Good for first clipless shoe. Would want something more solid if more seriously into it (ie..racing). pretty comfy though.

Date Reviewed: December 21, 2004
Favorite Trail:Red Bug
Duration Product Used:1 Year
Price Paid: $85.00
Purchased At:Higher Ground Bicycles
Strengths:Comfortable as an old slipper.
Weaknesses:Sole is too thin.
Similar Products Used:Old Shimano lace-up MTB shoe.
Bike Setup:Old Trek 850SHX
Bottom Line:I don't do a lot of off-road riding so I didn't want to spend too much money on shoes. I bought these to do double duty as a mountain bike shoe and as a road touring shoe for when I expect to walk around some. The shoe is very comfortable until you clip in. The sole is so thin that it seems like I can feel every rivet in the pedal. I will replace them as soon as I can.

Submitted by Dan Bebber a from Oxford,UK
Date Reviewed: June 4, 2004
Duration Product Used:3 months
Strengths:Comfortable, roomy toe-box, stiff enough but not too stiff.
Weaknesses:Look OK, but a little nerdy. Rather expensive (70 pounds in the UK).
Bike Setup:Raleigh Pioneer hybrid
Bottom Line:This is the first pair of cleated shoes I have worn. They are very comfortable (I tried on some Shimano's which were way too tight). Don't really notice they are there on my hour-long commute to work. Probably not for hardcore MTBers or racers. I think they are overpriced, considering that the Sonoma is 20 pounds cheaper. They seem to be well constructed and should last a while.

Date Reviewed: June 1, 2004
Favorite Trail:Too many to name
Duration Product Used:1 Year
Price Paid: $80.00
Purchased At:Hargroves, Southampton
Strengths:Very light, cool. Comfortable with alot of support for long rides.
Weaknesses:Feels a little sloppy when walking. Could be because of the low cut heel that the other reviewer mentioned.
Don't look that cool, but dont look hideous.
Cold in winter.
Similar Products Used:Sidi Dominator.
Bike Setup:Specialised Stumpy.
Bottom Line:I've used this shoe alot and on different terrain in different weathers and I have no major complaints. I wouldn't reccomend it for winter rides, your feet freeze, but you can't have it all ways. The flip side is in summer they are ideal.
Solid and dependable, but not exciting.

Submitted by Phil a from Adelaide, Australia
Date Reviewed: April 20, 2004
Duration Product Used:1 Year
Price Paid: $90.00
Purchased At:LBS
Strengths:comfy fit for me, light and cool, can walk ok in them, good cleat access in and out
Weaknesses:Heel gives the "feeling" of being loose as it is fairly low cut, it has never moved or caused a problem yet.
Similar Products Used:joggers, no other bike shoes
Bike Setup:thing with SPD959's for shoe to go on
Bottom Line:having used them lightly for almost a year, they are still great. They are nice and cool for our hotter weather, but we are about to enter the winter and this could work against them in the wet...
I have been very happy with them.
