Strengths:
Pretty much everything, and I am dead serious. With in seconds of riding, the bike just feels very very balanced. Its hard to a find a bike that can do that with very little suspension tweaking in the begining. I was riding at 95% of my race speed on my second run with this bike.
Weaknesses:
Stock bars are a tad narrow, but I tend to run very very wide bars.
Similar Products Used:
demo 8, SC bullit
Bike Setup:
Stock, but swapped to wide Race Face bars, went tubeless, Specialized mag pedals, oury grips.
Bottom Line:
THis bike is just incredible! If you are debating between this, or something else, seriously look at this. Specialized did their homework on this bike, everything just feels dialed, it does hardcore DH well, it jumps well, so if you want a bike that can freeride, jump, and still seriously downhill, get this bike! For a rockshox, the fork feels good. I am normaly a Marzocchi fan boy, but I see myself riding that totem for a while.

Strengths:
Flows over everything, turns very fast, soaks up square hits, and just destroys drops. Jumps decent...too
Weaknesses:
none so far with frame....Rockshox Totem is a nice fork but has had some leaking problems.
Come over from riding the session 7 for a year..this bike made me a better rider from the very first day. The demo frame just loves to carry speed in and out of burms and turns. I did alot of 5-10 ft drops and always felt comfertable on the landings. The bike is a little harder to get airborne then the trek..but its not a big deal!! The FSR suspension is by far the most plush of the bike freeride rear ends i've tried. Get this bike...you'll love it

Strengths:
Sick Park Bike! Love the 66! Jumps so well, and can handle tight or tech sections with ease. Juicy 5s and bike build continue to exceed my expectations. Peddles far better than I thought, also has an uninterupted seat post, so you can put that baby all the way up for full extention on the climbs.
Weaknesses:
Some areas where paint will rub off from cable routing. Must be aware of low BB, keep those peddles flat in rock gardens. White seat and grips look sick, but get totally soiled after the first ride.
Similar Products Used:
Santa Cruz VP Free, Rocky RMX, Rocky Switch, and Kona Stinky.
Bike Setup:
Stock, Medium, I am 5'8", 145LBS, perfect!
Bottom Line:
I have done lap after lap all over the lower mountain in the park at Whistler and have done a few days at Fromme, in North Vancouver. The Demo 7 has taken my riding to the next level! I was totaly torn between getting a full on DH rig, or more FreeRide friendly ride. So glad that I went with the Demo7 1! I have no interest in DH racing, I just like to have as much fun as possible on any and all types of terrain, love to jump, love to rip the tech stuff. This is the ultimate bike for a rider that likes rip all kinds of DH terrain. I have been in Whistler for years and have seen that the only 2 brands that back up their warranties with good service, and have sick bikes are Specialized and Giant. I have talked to so many people in Whistler that have been given poor or no service regarding warranty issues with other brands. The other bike that I was looking at was the Giant Glory Zero, a bit too much of an uphill geo, dual rings, and Hayes Stroker Brakes(Not a big fan, sticky leavers, due to the leaver piston shaft being totaly exposed to the elements). So if you like ripping downhill and ride park, shuttle, or hike a bike, this is the bike! For $3500, I think it is an amazing buy for the build! I will do an update once Garbanzo opens up, and I have a few weeks of rocking the entire mountain!

Duration Product Used:

Strengths:
Pretty much everything. Great out-of-the-box setup. Marzocchi and Fox suspension are awesome and the low BB and center of gravity make the bike handle great. Near perfect setup for DH racing and some free riding.
Weaknesses:
None so far
Similar Products Used:
Kona Stinky
Bike Setup:
Pretty much stock except I took the 66 off and replaced it with a 888 RC3. I had to also get a reducer cane creek headset to make it fit the 1 1/8" steerer on the 888 and used the Marzocchi integrated stem.
Bottom Line:
Ive only ridden the bike a few times now but I love it. I have never been so sure of a bike after so few rides, but this thing just hooks up. Whether it be bombing some DH runs, dropping a 15 footer or railing some tight berms, the bike is great and seems really fast. The low BB and center of gravity keep the bike glued to the ground at higher speeds and let you keep your speed going into tight corners. Looks like it is going to be a great race bike
