there is NO brake jack AT ALL
it is good for pedaling and withstands all abuse. tracks very well. Geometry is spot on, you really feel integrated in the bike. Weight is acceptable for 7.7 Travel

Weaknesses:
Its a pain to service bearings.
Also, the saddle hits the tire when fully down.

SX Trail (very nice bike), testrode a Konastinky which was absolute crap, a couple of other faux-bar designs which were all terrible..

Strengths:
Great quality frame, solid paintjob, perfect geometry, FSR system is the best especially with the 6-bar linkage it is UBBER-STIFF.
Weaknesses:
if you're a weight weenie, then weight, but i still lost 10 pounds from my old norco six.

If you are looking for a great freeride or downhill maching (yes it can be raced), this bike is for you.
*****ATTENTION:***** The 2007 model demo 7's come with a travel reducer ring on the rear shock, limiting it to a precise 7" travel. However, it is safe and approved by specialized that you can remove this travel reducing spacer.
You can therefore, without modifying your geometry, increase your travel from 7" to 7.7"
