Submitted by DOUG TOMLINSON a Weekend Warrior from PONTEFRACT, ENGLAND
Date Reviewed: May 8, 2002
Favorite Trail:NIDDERDALE LOOP
Duration Product Used:2 Years
Price Paid: $950.00
Purchased At:SOWERBY BROS. ENGLAND
Strengths:Responsive frame, decent forks, good build quality
Weaknesses:I had to upgrade brakes, saddle, BB,chain inner chainring, tyres, pedals.
Similar Products Used:Carrera bikes - also keen road cyclist
Bike Setup:Cro-mo frame, manitou forks LX/Deore groupset
Bottom Line:This bike gets some hammer! Apart from fair wear & tear it has withstood the most severe terrain I can throw at it, including racing. It remains complaint and responsive and reliable. I would have to spend a lot more money to get anything that performs better. Buy it and it will cater for all your MTB needs, whether beginner or experienced.
