Submitted by Kami a Cross Country Rider from Kennewick, Washington, USA
    Date Reviewed: May 15, 2005
    Duration Product Used:3 months
    Price Paid: $228.00
    Purchased At:Markee's
Strengths:The price was good...Was told it would be good for my son, to start racing and jumping with..He never has done either of them because of the bike itself...
Weaknesses:We have had to have the crank replaced, and then it keeps coming loose all the time, we have had to have the ball bearings replaced twice, the front wheel is tweaked...Won't be replaced, they say my son ran into a curb...he never did...when they replaced the tires on the bike, they left notches in both of the wheel frames...
Bottom Line:This bike was recommended for my son to be able to use it to start racing and jumping with..He has not been able to do either, due to us being very busy and the fact that every time we turn around we have it in the shop being worked on...Have had it in there 3 times since buying it..I will never buy another Fuse 2 again...I would be very afraid if my son actually did the racing and jumping with it, he may have gotten hurt very badly..He uses it to ride to friends houses and that is it...

    Favorite Trail:ANY
    Duration Product Used:3 months
    Price Paid: $265.00
    Purchased At:Berlin Bicycle
Strengths:Frame, forks, rims, crank, pretty much the whole bike.
Weaknesses:The only weekness on this bike is the back brake pads. I mean, they arent the strong ones that make your bike skid, and they do stop the bike, but they arent really all that good. I think with a new set of brake pads the brakes would be as good as new.

Bottom Line:This bike is the best bike i have owned yet, and if it wasnt for mongooses new management and horrible bikes i would have never purchased this bike. I think you should buy a new set of brake pads, another set of pegs, and a front brake and you will have a complete bike which you will never have to replace. And specialized frames are warrantied for life.
