Strengths:Sold frame construction, its 100% 4130 this time rather than just the tubes like the 2002 model. The down tube and top tube and both double buttered as well. The wheels keep on rolling all day long with sealed back and front and nice rims. Its got a nice 3 piece tubular as well. You could ride this bike off a cliff and ride it away nee bosh. it looks as sexy as hell in gloss black.
Weaknesses:Breaks, they might as well not bother putting any on. But this problem can be easily solved with a set of the Odyssey Evolver’s “probably the best U brake about at the moment, fits both front & rear.” Saddle is a bit flimsy.
Similar Products Used:I had the 2002 Vegas until some twat nicked it
Bike Setup:Keep it simple, S&M 24” pitch fork
    Bottom Line:good second bike

Strengths:rocksolid construction, large axels, decent style, nice saddle
    Weaknesses:brakes - they suck
Similar Products Used:03 specialized hemi pro 24"
Bike Setup:stock + bulldog front brake (u) and 2.125 keneda tires (rather aggressive)
Bottom Line:i am actually writing this review on behalf of my friend who i ride with. the bike is great, he's a big guy (6'2" 285lbs) and it has taken a hell of a lot of pounding since it met him. bob's taken it off stairs, jumps, xc rides, rocky hills, etc. ive worked on the bike and was quite impressed by the build quality. our only complaints are the brakes. the hombre brakes simply suck for this bike. i am 6'1" 128lbs and the stock brakes barely slow me, they dont even come close to stopping bob's mass. if anyone knows of a decent u-brake that can be used with the two mounting posts please email bob at bob@eliteboards.com and give him some helpful advice. great value. would get 5 chilies for overallrating if it werent for that brake.
