Quality is head and shoulders above the dept. store bikes. This is the coolest girls bike I have ever seen. My kid loves it. It is so cool my boy is even jealous. I also considered the Trek Mt Lion 60, Novara Dirt Rider, and Schwinn Speedster 2.0.
I got the Specialized since it seems to have great Shimano components, is well-built with a chome-moly frame. Mostly, though, I got it because it came in a great "girl's" color of hot pink with a pretty, spring-padded saddle and has a low slung frame to make getting on and off easy, yet it still is tough as nails with the same (or better) components than the other bikes I considered, at the same (or better) price. | | Value Rating:Overall Rating: |
