Submitted by 3rd man a Cross Country Rider from Durham, NC, USA
    Date Reviewed: October 13, 2008
    Favorite Trail:286
Duration Product Used:More than 3 years
    Price Paid: $30.00
    Purchased At:Franks
    Strengths:Fit, comfort, breath fairly well.
Weaknesses:Palm wore out in no time at all.
Similar Products Used:Fox and Specialized gloves.
    Bike Setup:Blur LT "2" R AM kit.
Bottom Line:I bought these gloves back in 05 or 06. I then went on maybe 5 rides before I realized I had to give up biking due to an injury. Well, 3 or so years since, I'm all healed up and riding again. I pulled the gloves out of the closet and got to riding. In about 10 rides the palms have worn through around the web of the right thumb and on both lower palms. Dollar for ride ratio doesn't stack up. No more 661 for me.

    Date Reviewed: January 14, 2008
    Duration Product Used:3 months
    Price Paid: $20.00
    Purchased At:Sports Chalet
Strengths:Looks cool and fit extremely well. Good price.
Weaknesses:The palms wear kinda quickly but not stitching broke or anything.
    Similar Products Used:Fox Digit
    Bike Setup:'07 Specialized Rockhopper Disc
Bottom Line:A good glove but there are so many in the $25-$30 range I'm sure there are better ones that will fit someone else's hand better. This glove worked fine for me though, til I lost the left glove. Damn.

Submitted by Chris a Weekend Warrior from N. Cal
    Date Reviewed: October 28, 2006
    Duration Product Used:2 Years
    Price Paid: $19.00
    Purchased At:Pricepoint
    Strengths:Killer look and color, durability.
    comfortable and cool ventilated.
    well padded and protective.
    Weaknesses:NONE!
Similar Products Used:TLD XC (nice for light XC), Fox Sidewinder (very good too), Fox Incline (nah), Pearl Izumi gel (road half gloves), Cannodale and GT house brand.
    Bike Setup:GF Sugar +
Bottom Line:I love this gloves, I have used lots of others and this is my favorite of all. it's not as light as TLD and Fox Incline, but has much better looking and provides reinforced protection on hand, which is very important if you ride in narrow single track or more technical downhill. After two years and still going, the red color is as vibrant as new after every wash. The padding is adequate, extra rubber protection is similar to Fox Sidewinder (freeride look) but suprisingly cool in hot days. The first reviewer blemed the hand numb on the gloves is ridiculous, he should change the cockpit fit or handlebar.

    Favorite Trail:barton creek
    Duration Product Used:6 months
    Purchased At:from 661
    Strengths:durable material
Weaknesses:a lot - including bad printing of their own logo.
no padding. so lets hand go numb taking vibrations. i even ended up changing my perfectly good yeti grips to salsa chilli pepper to c if that would would help. does not have the piece of fabric (wipe cloth) that is on the thumb (even on cheaper golve) to wipe sweat.
rei store brand gloves are better than these.
    Similar Products Used:none this bad
