Date Reviewed: July 2, 2005
Favorite Trail:Oaf Huck
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $69.00
Purchased At:Greenfish Adventure Sports
Strengths:Weight, protection, air flow, price
Weaknesses:It seems a little short in the back
Similar Products Used:'03 Sixsixone pressure suit, Bombshell chest protector
Bike Setup:Bighit DH, Risse Trixxxy, Swinger 4-way, E13DRS, Atomic Lab wheels, Nokian Gazzalodi 3.0 tires.....
Bottom Line:The few times I have worn this protector(usually when temps are hovering around 90) it has performed just fine. It does allow noticable airflow around the torso when riding, which is welcomed relief considering the full face sauna you're wearing on your head. I've had the opportunity to smack a few trees while wearing the protector and it has held up very well (Why do the trees grow so close together up here in the Northeast?). Anyway, I prefer the pressure suit for racing, since I feel affords better overall protection than the Defender. But for general play in the woods the sixsixone defender chest protector is more than adequate.
