Date Reviewed: March 2, 2010
Favorite Trail:St. Louis Heights
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $30.00
Purchased At:JensonUSA.com
Strengths:Light, comfortable, cool, good protection
Weaknesses:not meant for bashing your elbows/forearms against boulders
Bottom Line:These pads slip on easily and stay put with only two straps. Very quick to gear up, and down. The protection is minimal, and is best suited to avoid abrasion and injuries from minor impacts. It's thin flexible plastic, not meant for smashing into rocks. I don't do a lot of that, and if/when I crash it is usually just into soft trees or skidding along dirt; these protect just fine against those types of accidents. I would recommend them as a good set of all purpose pads, or something to wear on a less intense day.

Date Reviewed: December 29, 2004
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $17.00
Purchased At:Supergo sale
Strengths:Light and Comfy
Decent protection
Weaknesses:Hot (but u can use them with just the velcro if you're willing to settle for less overall protection)
Road Warrior comments from XC riding buddies
Similar Products Used:none
Bike Setup:XC/trail bike
Bottom Line:I'm no downhill or freeride type but after my latest digger, decided to get some pads as I can't show up at the office with huge gouges in my arms. These are light and cheap for the protection they provide. I store them in my camelbak until I need them but once they're on, you hardly notice them. The mesh does breathe pretty well but will wait until summer to comment on how hot they get.
Value rating is for the sale price.

Date Reviewed: September 6, 2004
Duration Product Used:6 months
Strengths:comfortable, light, have good mobility when wearing, good for straight falls to the ground
Weaknesses:slides up your arm when you hit the ground going fast
Bike Setup:ac1 w/slider +
Bottom Line:they work for straight falls (off logs, skinnies, etc.) but if you crash going fast, they "grab" the ground and slide right up past your elbow, and your arm gets chewed up. I'm going to get Roach Rally FR instead.

Strengths:easy to put on and comfy. they work good. not as annoying as hard shell elbow pads. they stay in place pretty good.

(took a digger off a 9 footer and the mesh ripped a little)
Similar Products Used:none
Bottom Line:they are definitely worth the $$
you don't notice them until your arms are in the dirt and then you're glad you have em.

Favorite Trail:Demo
Duration Product Used:2 Years
Strengths:Coverage and great flexibility
Weaknesses:None
Similar Products Used:Skinz
Bike Setup:Doesn't matter
Bottom Line:These ar the greatest pads I have had so far. As you can see I have had them for a while and still they work great. They are the only pad I have found that has no open areas to get hit yet are still totally flexible. Mine (the earlier versions) took a little while to break in but now the new ones seem flexier from the get go. And the open mesh top is makes these not really hot at all especially compared to other brands and they are alot cooler than the leg version.

Submitted by Taylor a Downhiller from Placerville,CA
Date Reviewed: July 30, 2003
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $25.00
Strengths:Light,tough,don't slip
Weaknesses:a little hot if you're having to ride up some hills, can cut off your circulation if you get the straps too tight, doesn't take all the shock out of the fall, still kind of hurts if you tumble
Similar Products Used:661 race elbow/forearm,Bombshell elbow/forearm
Bottom Line:I love these.I'm usin'them as replacements for my old 661 races, thoes slipped all the time,no matter what size you bought.I've only fallen twice on these, but so far i'm left with just a dull pain, and not cuts and scrapes. These never slip,I love em'.They do take a few rides to break in,but after that they're comfortable.I've fallen up at Northstar with them and the first thing that hit was my arm,all it did was get them dirty and leave me with a dull pain.I'm soon gonna get a upper body suit, but these are fine for now.If you want a relible, cheap arm guard, get these. They're your best bet.

Favorite Trail:Anything downhill, Wales
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $30.00
Purchased At:Chainreaction
Strengths:Durable, comfortable, light, rugged yet flexible + look sweet
Weaknesses:could have heavier plastic inserts for more protection
Similar Products Used:Fox 911 elbow guards, azonic HP elbow
Bike Setup:Norco Shore - 03 Jnr T, WTB, F.U.N.N, Hayes etc etc
Bottom Line:These pads are really conmfortable, fit well and are nice and light, they take a little getting used to but are brilliant protection for daily freeride, they really take a beating. The wrap around system can be hot in the summer but it ensures they dont move around and are gonna protect you in a crash. Overall - Great price, top quality product!!

Strengths:breakes in very quick. comfortable fit and not to hot on warm days. good looks. seems to be durable so far.

Similar Products Used:fox

Bottom Line:these 66One arm and (elbow pads) are great for protecting against tree branches which can slice in to your arms.i bought these to protect my elbows and since a fall of about 4 feet on to dirt i am not impressed at all.if u do any extreme riding go with something made of heavy duty plastic!
