Submitted by skeletonshirt a Weekend Warrior from australia

Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $220.00
Purchased At:chainreactioncycles
Strengths:Great build, stiff sole & great power transfer while still keeping a softer cuff for the lower leg. After summer racing shoes with overshoes, these are fantastic for cooler and wet times. Extra toebox width for winter socks is excellent.
Weaknesses:seal between leg and cuff - requires and elastic spat to keep mud and water out. Longer sock on outside of legging half rolled back to outside of boot seems best so far.
Similar Products Used:nil winter shoe/boot
Bike Setup:multiple road and mountain bikes - all using spd compatable pedals so that all shoes fit all bikes.
Bottom Line:with the right sock - fantastic even at this price. Haven't been used at sub zero temps though. Are vastly superior to using overshoes for warmth and dryness.

Favorite Trail:Dryer Road
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $339.00
Purchased At:Competitive Cyclist
Strengths:These run wider than normal and I take a Mega, so they are close to Mega. Good quality build. Room for bulky socks. Take spikes for extra traction. Usual Sidi build quality. Easy to put on in the cold, no funny gadgets to mess with.
Weaknesses:COLD TOES when temps under 20 degrees F. Still need a Mega for more forefoot room. Heel still wants to pull at times.
Similar Products Used:Dominator.
Bike Setup:Various 29ers.
Bottom Line:I was shocked that the boot got cold in slow riding. I guess the ambient temp has a huge effect. I would say you will need the warmers too if you want to take epic rides in the super cold. At the moment, I'm not all that pleased.
