If you like to swing down your brake so that your wrists are comfortable while standing you will have to rotate your shifters with you brakes. | | Similar Products Used: | low end Shimano/ Sram grip shift | | Bike Setup: | Stock '04 Fisher Marlin with the following upgrades; LX M580 shifters, XT M770 crankset, XT M770 front derailleur, XT M760 cassette, HG93 chain | | Bottom Line: | These are good shifter and work well and can be found on EBay for cheap as take offs from new rigs. I really like the tucked under the bar design and the dual action of the finger paddle. I don't like the shape of the paddles but that is not a weakness of the shifter just a preference. My wife has Deore shifter on one of her bikes, and other than the non-removable shift indicators and different shaped paddles (shorter and embossed with the mega 9 logo) they appear the same. Bottom line; They are good, they are easy to find on EBay, and they work well with the other Shimano components if they are not LX. | | Value Rating:Overall Rating: |
