Submitted by ebnash a Weekend Warrior from San Jose, CA
Date Reviewed: November 23, 2008
Favorite Trail:Wilder Ranch, Demo
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $179.00
Purchased At:LBS, Calabazas Bike
Strengths:Inboard of brake lever mounting, short throw, cool gold bits.
Weaknesses:None so far
Similar Products Used:Deore Stock shifters
Bike Setup:2007 Heckler, Fox Talas RLC, Saint Brakes, Saint Shifters, XT Drivetrain, Azonic Wheels
Bottom Line:These shifters rock the cock! You can rip through 7-8 gears in throw of the thumb, and the shifting is really tight and positive. Paired with the XT drive train and derailuers, the shifting is amazing.

My old bike set-up was all XT, but with the Deore shifters, and the shifting was crap! These are amazing and weigh less than the XT shifters (advertised weight)

Submitted by Rick a Weekend Warrior from North Vancouver
Date Reviewed: August 27, 2007
Favorite Trail:too many
Duration Product Used:3 months
Strengths:Typical Shimano shifting (which I like)
Weaknesses:None so far
Bike Setup:Santa Cruz Heckler
Bottom Line:Can't believe I'm the first person reviewing this however...shifts like a typical XT shifter but is designed to be used before the right brake lever. In other words closest to the grip. Anyway bottom line, I like it!
