from Philadelphia PA Date Reviewed: February 2, 2008 | | Favorite Trail: | All of them | | Duration Product Used: | 1 Year | | Strengths: | Great stopping power, simple set up | | Weaknesses: | Calipers leak oil onto pads in cold weather. This happened last winter (2007) and just happened this year. Total BS! The pads get ruined and I have to replace them, but have to wait until it's warm so it doesn't happen again. This also happened to my XT calipers, the new ones not the trusty 4 piston ones. I will NEVER buy these calipers again. | | Bottom Line: | I will never buy Shimano's new calipers again. This is poor! This also happened to my brother who has these same Saint calipers. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

from great britain Date Reviewed: December 8, 2007 | | Duration Product Used: | 1 Year | | Purchased At: | local bike shop | | Strengths: | ease of use and usable power, better feel than my hayes mag 9 and hope mini.
and relatively cheap compared to competition.
also better finish on them to. | | Weaknesses: | not sold as bled kit. | | Similar Products Used: | hayes el camino hayes hfx and hyes mags. | | Bike Setup: | stinky rimo 2007. | | Bottom Line: | nice usable brakes that wont catch you out on your of days, and the pads are super easy to change no need to remove the wheel.
can be an exspensive setup when used with saint hubs also but the center lock is simplicity itself.
5 chillis for both when you compare them to the price of the el caminos and uselessness. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |
