$65.00 | | Purchased At: | winning edge cycles (bathurst) | | Strengths: | awesome stopping power great for all conditions work good out of the box. | | Weaknesses: | mine didn't come with noodle threaders. | | Similar Products Used: | close to an xt or xtr set up | | Bike Setup: | specialized stumpjumper/marzzocci superflys xt to xtr drivetrain with canecreek headset and fox vanilla float rear shock | | Bottom Line: | bassically id rather go for the lx set up then an xt or xtr as you get almost the same brakes but a little lighter and 70 bucks more expensive. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

The V-brake stopping power sets a new standard which is only now being surpased by a fledgling disc brake market. These LX's are simple to set up and maintain. One might go to XT or XTR but the weight savings is less than 10% and the cost is more than 50 % higher for XT and 100 % for XTR. On some bikes this just doesn't make any sense. | Overall Rating: |
