from London Date Reviewed: September 25, 2009 | | Duration Product Used: | 2 Years | | Purchased At: | ebay | | Strengths: | Ergonomics - perfect two-finger setup
Cable travel - pulls a descent amount of brake cable so allows the brake blocks to be positioned further from the rim. | | Weaknesses: | Adjustable leverage - seems unecessary and I never used it.
Unusual cable routing - cablke end barrel sits half | | Similar Products Used: | Tekro TS384A, various Shimano Deore and Deore XT levers. | | Bike Setup: | Currently riding a 2005 Sirrus elite hybrid. | | Bottom Line: | I have just removed these off my bike in favour of more grip-shift friendly ones and now I'm regretting it.
The M751s had a superb solid feel to them which their replacements lack.
They were also a lot more comfortable: with V-brakes I consider three-finger levers overkill. After much trial and error I've found M751 levers by far the most ergonomical two finger use.
The build quality is excellent and are lighter than they look. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |
