    Date Reviewed: April 16, 2003
    Duration Product Used:1 Year
    Purchased At:LBS
    Strengths:Comfort (of course)
    Reasonable price
    Weaknesses:-Big
    -Heavy
    -Unstylish
-Soaks up water like a sponge (really)
-Fabric is not durable-- If you fall, it will probably rip
-Logos quckly begin to peel off.
Similar Products Used:Not many. Bought as a relief from the notoriously hard and numbness inducing WTB SST that came stock on my GT Tequesta that I bought new several years ago.
Bike Setup:GT Tequesta with a few changes to make it a better commuter: riser bars and stem, semi-slicks, platform pedals, and this seat.
Bottom Line:I bought this seat as an over-reaction to the painful WTB SST. In one sense it was a success: it really is comfortable for long rides. I can ride it all day without the numbness, soreness and overwhelming fatigue of my old WTB saddle. Beginning of the season saddle soreness, always an anual rite of passage, is almost non-existent. OTOH, the looks aren't exactly a chick magnet. But seriously, this seat isn't for anyone who rides fast or aggressively since any spill is likely to leave permanent road rash. It would be a good seat for an ageing easy rider, but I would think just about anyone would rip it eventually.
