Strengths:
It's really comfortable. After a break in period it really allowed me to ride longer with less pain.
Weaknesses:
It broke! Right at the point where the rail meets a thicker piece. I'm a heavier rider, but the way in which the saddle broke leaves me questioning the design.

Strengths:
~ Manganese rails. ~ Low weight - mine is 274 grams. ~ Well-built and great looking as usual for Selle Italia. Nice embroidered graphics. ~ Rails have positioning marks so you can repeat the same fore/aft placement.
Weaknesses:
~ Not much to complain about here. Like any other saddle - it either fits you well, somewhat well, or sucks completely.

Bike Setup:
Stock '03 K2 Enemy (cyclocross), but replaced OEM Ritchey Speedmax tires with Vredestein Campo's and added Salsa Cross brake levers.
Bottom Line:
This is the only "modern" saddle I've used that has not been nearly unrideable after more than 20 minutes. I weigh around the 200 lb. mark, so maybe other saddles were just too thinly padded for me.(?) For example, the non-TA version of this - the standard Mythos - although being great with the same basic shape as the TA version, was just a bit too under-padded. This is my second Mythos TA which has been in storage for over 2 years. The first one finally wore out after about 3.5 years of good service.
I'd used my first one on a FS/freeride MTB as well as for road biking, and now this one for a short time on a CX rig. They need only the proper height and front/rear adjustment to work well in widely varying situations. Unlike the reviewer below, I don't find the width difficult for dismounting or riding off the back on steep sections. The width is somewhere in the middle of other saddles - I've measured it at 150mm. Length is 275mm.
As much as the Mythos TA has worked well for me over time, there is still some room for improvement. So, diving into the unknown because I've never had a chance to ride one, I've recently purchased a Brooks Professional, (all-leather/no padding). I'm always searching for the "perfect fit", and thus far the Brooks shape has been OK, but still quite hard compared to this saddle. After break-in, I'm assuming the Pro will be totally comfortable. Time will tell!
I'll give the Mythos Trans Am an Overall Rating of 4.5 burnt peppers, and a 4 pepper Value Rating. Too bad Selle It. stopped making these and its brother the standard Mythos. If you find one in good condition, I'd highly recommend giving it a try.

The rear of the saddle is wider than I was used to. It takes a bit more "bowing" of the legs when hanging your butt off the back.The neon orange graphics are ugly.

This is the first saddle that my "boys" don't go numb on. I've tried many different saddles over the years, and this is by far the most comfortable saddle I've ever used. Like I mentioned, the rear is a bit wide, and requires more work/planning for hanging your butt off the back (Steep sections) otherwise it is perfect. If they could just modify it so that the rear is the same width as the Flite, then it would be the best ever. All said, I'm very happy.
