    Favorite Trail:Topanga
    Duration Product Used:1 Year
    Price Paid: $20.00
    Purchased At:pricepoint
Strengths:Very Light 225gm, titanium rails often hold up better than many cr-mo railed saddles.
Weaknesses:Classic racing saddle feels fine, but puts more pressure on your center region and less on the sit bones.
Similar Products Used:Broke many saddles in 20 yrs.
    Bike Setup:Cannondale Mutt Mestizo Hardtail
Bottom Line:Great classic saddle for 20 bucks, very lite, and feels good. Well built.

But you may want to choose others (heavier)if your kishkas are a bit sensitive.

    Duration Product Used:3 months
    Price Paid: $20.00
    Purchased At:www.pricepoint.com
    Strengths:comfort, comfort and more comfort!
    weight (or lack thereof)
Weaknesses:the logo is sliding to the back of the seat
Similar Products Used:my old stock KHS seat
Bike Setup:KHS alite 2000 with lots of upgrades
Bottom Line:i bought this seat because my old one was heavy, ripped up, had sticky fabric on it, and wasn't very comfortable. the selle italia fixed all those problems! after a few hours of arduous climbing, i no longer feel like i've been riding the point end of a two-by-four! its the best change i've made to my bike since i got a new fork (and was WAY cheaper thanks to pricepoint). This is an awesome seat. if you can find it cheap, or afford to buy it at msrp, i strongly suggest it. the only reason i can think of not to get it is if you are a downhiller or huckster who needs to have a small la-z-boy attatched to their bike.

5 value chilis 'cause i got it so cheap
5 overall chilis cause it's a rocking saddle!!

    Strengths:Comfort.
    Comfort.
    Light weight.
    Comfort.
Weaknesses:Kevlar sides would be nice, but I've been riding with this saddle a long time, maybe I should buy a new one?
    Similar Products Used:Bontranger thing.
An assortment of sofas and things that were too average to remember.
    Bike Setup:Klein Pulse Race
Bottom Line:When this saddle finally wears out, I will buy another identical one. It is simply the most comfrotable thing I have ever ridden. I ride for at least two hours a day, every day, regardless of the weather. I'm a big bloke and I ride hard. I wear out componants. I like to try new bits. The Flite Alps is perfection I'm keeping it.

Favorite Trail:as long as i'm on my bike
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
    Price Paid: $80.00
    Purchased At:from a friend
    Strengths:Very light, very comfortable.
Weaknesses:Wear on the sides shows it could use kevlar.
Similar Products Used:SDG, Selle San Marco
Bike Setup:Merlin XLM, XTR cranks and v-brakes, Chris King headset and hubs, etc.
Bottom Line:This saddle is supremely light and comfortable. I love it and it clearly out shines the 2 other saddles i tried. Wish it had kevlar sides, but over all quality more than made up for it. There is no other saddle i like more. Any one who wants a comfortable seat and wont wear out leather sides in a week should be using this.

    Strengths:Extreme comfort, weight
Weaknesses:Leather sides not very durable, seat rail broke.
Bottom Line:This is a follow up review. After a year of all types of riding 5 days/week the seat rail broke in the midlle of where it clamped onto the seat post. My old CroMO seat bent but it never broke and its holding up till I wait for warranty.Looses points for bustin'.

Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
    Strengths:weight(180g claimed, 211g actual), looks, price $90Cdn
Weaknesses:kevlar sides would be nice for longer durability
Similar Products Used:SDG comp, specialised crap
Bike Setup:'99 lava dome with numerous upgrades for aggressive x/c
Bottom Line:i picked this saddle up to replace the stock SDG that finally fell apart after a year of comfort. after trying out a specialised saddle that almost left me numb below the waste i spared no expense on my comfort. after only 3 rides i know this seat is going to give me 100's of miles of comfort.

    Favorite Trail:Anywhere on a bike
Duration Product Used:More than 3 years
    Strengths:Light weight
    Well made
    Looks good
    Weaknesses:No Kevlar protection on sides
    Rear part of saddle uncomfortable
    Similar Products Used:Flite, SDG, Turbo
Bike Setup:Mark Zey custom steel frame. Full XTR. White hubs and BB. King HS, McMahon Ti bars, Syncros Ti seatpost, Bontrager rims, Grafton cranks, etc., etc.
Bottom Line:I have normal Flites on all my other bikes and thought I'd try the Alps because of it's lightness and similarity to the rest of the Flite line. I love the normal Flite so I expected this saddle to feel very much the same since it looks to be a Flite with the rear sides cut away. I was very surprised to find that it was not as comfortable as the normal Flite. The problem seems to be in the shape at the rear of the saddle. I suspect that by removing the sides the way the saddle flexes in the rear has changed. It just doesn't feel as good in the rear as a good old Flite. Since the bike it's on is an older one I only use as a back up, I have left it on. On a bike I would ride everyday, I'd replace it with a Flite. The Alps is a good saddle but compared to the very high standard set by the Flite it comes up a little short. Stick with the mormal Flite, it's more comfortable.
